I've tried all kinds of floor and lap frames and this is my favorite. I like to stitch while sitting in my recliner and the adjustable angle of the hoop makes it comfortable to stitch on. The best feature is that the top hoop FULLY rotates, so you can swing it around and have easy access to the back of your stitching. It's very sturdy plastic which is heavier than normal hoops (but not too heavy on your lap). There are plastic grippy-ripples on the inside of the hoop to hold your fabric tight. It collapses easily and without fuss for storage. I have severe arthritis in my hands and use a two-handed stitching style, so this is the perfect frame to help with that. Really happy with this purchase!Added 9/12/17: After using this frame daily for 5 months, I loved it so much I had to order another one. One feature I really like is that you can collapse the frame flat while your stitching is still IN IT (it'll be about 16" long when collapsed). This makes it extremely portable. You just slide the frame flat (with your needlework still hooped in) and throw it in a tote bag, then you can stand it right back up without messing with any knobs and quickly begin stitching. Easy to adjust material to get the correct angle to do needlework and to swing around to reach the backside of the project. No slippage of material due to the tiny nodules all around the ring. The frame is collapsible, portable and height adjustable for ease of use in lap or on a table. For those of us who have arthritis issues this product allows hands free use since it alleviates the need to constantly have a tight grip on the hoop as compared to standard frames. Fantastic customer service and support! Company was upfront about possible delay due to Covid issues, however, I still received my frame in two weeks. I've found it. This is made from very sturdy plastic not wood. The design is flawless and the fact that it folds down makes it even better. Worth every penny. The advertisement picture does not do it justice. Very happy with this. I was surprised it was packed in a soft package rather than a box, but that's tells me how durable this is.
