Go-To Palette
This has been my absolute all time favorite palette. It has everything I need color wise for all my eye make up need, the very light colors i use for eyebrow contour, the light browns are my base, the very dark brown is my eyeliner and the glitters are my eye corner, i absolutely love this palette and the colors are perfect for my skin tone and very pigmented. It is very small in size for the price but i’ve used mine everyday for almost two years and only now is it ready for a replacement. What i love the most is that if I travel, i just need this with me along with mascara and i’m set. Buy this!!

Not meant for darker skin color
Was looking forward to receiving this product. The colors were very magnificent and the touch felt so nice. But when I swatched it to my skin, there was barely any color (even with layering it multiple times). Using a brush, there were so many loose powders that fell. This is not meant for brown/darker skin. I could barely see any color even with using concealer underneath the eyeshadow...Only good thing is that this is very compact, other than that, dont waste your money...

Beautiful eyeshadow, terrible packaging
The eyeshadow is beautiful but it was packaged in a bag and the eyeshadow is broken.

Not Bad
This is a fairly neutral eyeshadow set, which is what I prefer. However, there are two shades that are glitter city! I mean lots of shine!! I think the younger crowd may like this, but I'm the right demographic for those two shades. They are too much for me! I like the pink shadows. The red looking one doesn't do anything for me and the dark brown one has to be used with a light hand. Overall, not bad overall.

Quality over quantity here! At first I was taken back ($$), BUT..
At first, I’ll admit I was disappointed when I saw the size of this. $24??? Hmm. So, I opened up the outer packaging and looked inside. Still wasn’t convinced this was worth it.Yes, the contents looked attractive, yes, the casing was pretty and had a snazzy magnetic closure, but was it worth $24? And no eye shadow, applicator/ brush? Admittedly, I only very rarely even use those cheap little things, but still.. something should be included, no?Then I tried the make-up itself. That’s when it made some sense to me. Good things were wrapped up inside of this small package. The old saying was beginning to ring true. The colors are super soft and supple, no crumbling like many palettes that I have tried in the past. These shadows glide on smoothly and evenly without pulling and tugging at the skin, nor taking 100 applications to see color. No clumps in creases. The shadow colors just melt into the skin, lovingly. The colors are primarily subdued, not mega harsh at all, but they mesh well with one another. It’s on the more natural side of color palettes. Great colors for me with my brown eyes!I took off a star for the tiny amount of product you get in this palette, but is it worth it? Every purchaser might feel differently. Some may say yes, others may say no, just making sure you all know exactly what you are getting when you get this kit.And I don’t own a ton of high-end palettes, but I have owned some cheesy ones, and a couple of say Urban Decay ones, as I love that brand, and my daughter just told me the higher end ones quite usually come brushless, so maybe that makes sense, since this seems of higher end quality, despite the lack of a brand name. It’s cheaper than professional name palettes. Is there less product than my urban decay ones? Kind of yes, but I know they did cost more. I’d rather pay for great product vs. a name and a so-so product. This size is attractive for small purses, and on-the-go ladies. As far as the lack of any applicator, most make-up gurus (if not all, actually) own their own brush kit, so this isn’t anything that would surprise a pro here, about this lacking one. (My teen is saying that checks out, so :).)It may not be a large kit, but it is a quality kit? It may not say James Charles on it, but does it have to? I know many pay more for the name, but that doesn’t mean much to this daily makeup wearer. You can pay for a name and get junk, so I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality of this eyeshadow palette, but was I disappointed originally, like ‘how much was this?’ I was like ready to scratch my head. Seemed like I could get it at the $5 store, but nope.. you gotta try it to see it. This quality far surpasses what you’d find at the $5 store.Am I a bargain shopper? In most cases yes, but this one gave me a a happy result, and I liked that. That’s what matters most, it just may not seem worth the money to EVERYBODY. Guess you gotta try it out to know that answer though. With daily use it won’t last a very long time, but for the quality, I think everything kind of evens out. Just make sure you got your shadow brushes on hand. This fits nicely in my small pocketbook to take along for touch-ups.Overall, I’m going to say that it’s a pretty decent buy. There’s quality over quantity!

Creamy powder eyeshadows. Very pretty shades. 4.5 stars.
This Reve De Paris Eyeshadow Palette is actually made in Korea but is "French inspired". The compact is sturdy and there is a full mirror on the inside of the top. The colors are mostly subtle and pretty. I am not a fan of the one that is nearly red or the very dark brown almost black shade. The others are really pretty. I actually can use the burgundy shade as a blush in a pinch and the deep brown shade as liner! The colors are soft, not like hard packed powder but more like a creamy powder. There is no fall out when I use this so it is not messy and great for on the go.The shadows last a decent amount of time on my lids. With primer underneath, wear time is extended by a couple of hours. I really like the texture of this eye shadow and the way it glides on. The matte shades are very pretty and the glitter ones are, as expected, sparkly. The sparkles don't fall off and get on my face which is another good thing about this palette. I removed a star only because I am not fond a couple of shades and because some of the lighter ones fade a bit quicker than I would like. Overall though, this is a palette that I will use for any occasion. It's got gorgeous neutral shades and highlighters to create a casual or formal look.
