Made in the USA, it requires regular cleaning every 3 months and replacement every 24 months to maintain optimal UV disinfection performance. ## Description All Viqua UV systems include a quartz sleeve, which surrounds the lamp. The quartz sleeve provides thermal protection for the UV lamp and protects it from possible water damage. The quartz material used in VIQUA quartz sleeves are a 100-Percent fused silica which lend to the sleeve's high transmittance. A high transmittance is important as the UV light must travel through the sleeve to get to the water. There are a variety of quartz sleeve designs, depending on the system that they are being used in. All VIQUA sleeves have been tested in order to ensure the VIQUA lamps deliver the appropriate intensity in each system that is offered. Make sure to GET GENUINE and always maintain your system with GENUINE parts from your VIQUA dealer. "Replacement Quartz Sleeve". Model Number of Quartz Sleeve: QS-463. Description: Replacement Quartz Sleeve. Replacement for UV System Models: S5Q-PA, S5Q, S5Q-GOLD. ## Features - Use with S5Q-PA and SSM-24 UV Water filter systems - Replace quartz sleeve every 24 months or as needed - Sleeve Length is 20 inches - Recommended Maintenance: For best results, this sleeve should be cleaned consistently after installation. The quartz sleeve will accumulate minerals from the water and should be cleaned about every 3 months.
