I love this scale. I tried to weigh an elderly relative on my other, more expensive digital scale, but that one requires a tap to turn on/tare, and then has a limited time to step onto it before it turns off. She couldn't get on the scale before it would turn off.So I decided to give this one a try and I'm very glad I did. This one does a periodic auto-tare, and to use, just step right onto it and it turns on and gives a reading. I found the readings very consistent (within 0.5 lbs) to my more expensive scale. It is NOT at all accurate on carpet though - use only on hard floors. (I suspect that's what happened with some of the negative reviews here.)It has a button on the bottom easily switches it between pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kg). It also has a bigger range than my other one, with a bottom end of just 11 lbs. My other scale wouldn't work for small children or large shipping boxes.The scale looks very nice and is small and light but big enough for most adults to use. It takes two AAA batteries which are included.

The scale is very accurate and good value for money . My family has been using it for a long time without problems, thanks to it always monitoring my weight.

Easy to read and performs well. It would be nice if when I weigh in each morning it would shave off a few pounds and come in a little lighter, but unfortunately, the scale is accurate.

Smartake scale works well. It reads within a pound of my DR’s scales so it is pretty accurate. It activates when you step onto it. The read out is easy to read.

I like that the scale is low to the floor... No stepping up into it and worrying that I'll too it over or stub my tie trying step up into it and balancing. It feels sturdy, stable and almost flat in the ground unlike my other one which was 1.5" up to step on. Easy to read, quick to get a reading. Highly recommend!

I tend to do it 3 times in a row. Usually by the 3rd time I get a pretty good average.It might run high/ low 5-7 pounds.Not enough to quit my diet, but enough to feel no remorse eating a2nd bite size candy bar or having a "bigger" slice of pie.All in all, it serves it purpose, and looks stylish sitting on my bathroom floor

The media could not be loaded.  The digital scale was working at the beginning good, then it gave me different numbers every time I was weighting myself. To check I weighted myself like 3 times in the same minute and gave me different weight. Too bad that the return frame time closed after 1 month.

Loved this scale while it lasted, but it only lasted about 4 months before it stopped working - battery change fixed it for a week and then it died-died. I should have spent a little extra to get a reliable product.
