I'm really impressed with this coffee maker, and for the price, almost 30.00,and about 20.00 for shipping, its still a great price. I have seen this for almost 100.00The carafe does NOT Drip when pouring coffee which many other coffee makers do for this price.My other Cuisinart carafe drips etc.This comes with a Brew Basket, and with a removable filter basket.I do use the filter basket, But put a paper filter in it.!Unfiltered coffee without using a paper filter, raises your LDL (bad cholesterol), and total cholesterol by 6 to 8% .Because of a chemical called, "Cafestol" in coffee.(Dr. Oz supports this also)It does say you can use the filter that comes with it, but that is up to you!There is a pause N Serve. While the coffee is being brewed, you can pour yourself a cup,without the coffee running all over the counter. You have 30 seconds to do this.Program control features on the front of the maker:Strong brew.LED Clock.Delay Brew.Two hour auto shut-off.This measures about 14 1/4 inch tall.It fits well under the kitchen cabinets with room to spare.This is all a brushed stainless, with a black top, has a modern look to it. It looks expensive, and is easy to clean.The only Con, for me is the blue LED clock light on the front, which is small, but It bothers my eyes!(not my husbands) Although it looks nice.We are very happy with this coffee maker: The way it looks, makes coffee, the taste of the coffee, and it is Not huge on the counter.I usually to not keep appliances on my kitchen counter, but this does look nice, besidesmy husband makes coffee a couple of times a day .Some people commented that this did not make strong coffee. We do not have that problem at all. My husband grinds his own beans, and likes his coffee strong. It makes strong coffee.I would give this more then a 5 star if I could.If something goes wrong with this coffee maker, I will be back with a new up-date.*UP DATE:We notice after the coffee is made, it keeps the coffee hot, but does Not give the Coffee a burned taste we where getting from our other coffee makers.

After reading lots of reviews on other coffee makers, I decided on this one. I'm so happy I did. It makes the best tasting coffee. Although, I do buy coffee beans to grind. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but I've gotten a lot of compliments on the coffee. I really do feel this is an exceptional coffee maker. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I've had it for a month now and have zero complaints. Coffee stays very hot on the warming plate. I use the basket without filters and we get no grounds in our cup. We've always used a Keurig, but this machine makes MUCH better tasting coffee. Highly recommend!!

good coffee for coffee lovers! ...i have tried many makers. my only reservation is when one cup is brewed, it is not very hot...best to leave on burner for 5 mins or so. otherwise best machine so far.i have 3 in 3 homes!

I previously owned a more expensive "designer" coffee maker which I received as a gift. It had all the bells and whistles and was a bright turquoise color. I loathed it from Day One: looked like it belonged in a clown kitchen. Vowed that when it finally conked out I would purchase a simpler, streamlined model. I love the design of this Oster: it's sleek, takes up little counter space and has a mostly stainless steel surface (vs plastic surface). Has a "cone" style filter, which I prefer to the "basket" style filter. Makes excellent coffee without all the fuss of more expensive models. Brewed coffee remains quite HOT for 2 hours before auto shut-off. Have had it for a week now and couldn't be happier. Will update if I run into any problems.

* In addition to the following review. I just found out that my coffee machine is defective. I had made a small pot of coffee on the timer, and then I tried to make a fresh pot when a fry some over, but it wouldn’t brew. I read the directions over and over and so did she, but the machine, filled with water and coffee, sputtered and got the filter and coffee wet, but never came out of the machine. I had to go downstairs where I kept my old one just in case, and had to start over making another pot of coffee. How embarrassing! It not only tastes terrible with the glass carafe (I use my Cuisinart thermal carafe because it tastes better), but it won’t brew unless it’s on the timer program! I even tried to reset the timer so it would brew right after I set it up, but that never worked either!Original review: I bought this coffee maker because of its raving reviews, and the fact that it has a timer, which does work well; however, after I ran it through the water cycle first, I made a pot of coffee for the next day. Thinking I was going to have a great cup of coffee, I was very disappointed by the flavor of the coffee. So, I traded the carafe from my old Cuisinart thermal coffee pot, (which I kept clean), and the coffee was much better!In addition, although it’s an attractive machine, the blue lights on the front are so bright, it literally fills the kitchen with bright, blue light, which I find annoying. I covered up the lights with a magnet, and it’s better.Just wanted to share some info.

Love the look of this coffee maker. It replaced an old white, no frills pot. It baffles me that the same coffee made in a different pot tastes different so I'm still experimenting with different amounts of coffee. Although I haven't tried the strong brew feature yet. It fits nicely on the counter, and just fits under a wall cabinet (I pull it out though when I make a pot though). It matches all appliances which was why I purchased it. Note - it is a fingerprint magnet.
