Great customer support
I purchased the Anker PowerCore Essential 20000 PD in May 2023 and was very satisfied with its performance for nearly a year. It charged my devices reliably, held power well, and was a convenient size for travel and daily use. Unfortunately, the power bank stopped holding a charge recently, despite showing charging lights when plugged in.I tried all the recommended troubleshooting steps, including different chargers and resetting the device, but the issue persisted. While I was initially disappointed that the product stopped working, I reached out to Anker’s customer support and was pleasantly surprised by how responsive and helpful they were.Even though the power bank was just outside the official warranty window, Anker still offered a replacement as a courtesy. That level of service goes a long way in maintaining trust, and I’m genuinely happy with how the situation was handled.Overall, the product performed well while it lasted, and the excellent customer service ensured I’ll continue to support Anker in the future.

Very good product.
I bought this from my mobile phone while I was at work. It charges really quick. It will charge my iPhone about six times before it even starts to run down. The quality is fantastic but it is quite heavy for your handbag.

A branded power bank you can rely on
If you are looking for a power bank, there are endless options on Amazon. I would however suggest avoiding cheap ones, especially with claims that look to good to be true. The pitfalls of buying a noname power bank is not just about over stating the capacity but is the general build quality of the device. Using cheap materials or poor designs is going to increase the risks when using them and i don't want to be responsible for starting a fire at home or on a trip becuase i saved £10 on a power bank. Do your self justice and stick to a brand you can trust and Anker are one of those at the top of their game. Good quality design and materials equal value for money. Branded products have a reputation to uphold, cheap unknown brands have nothing to loose with a poor product and everything to gain, though they will not be around when you have a problem

Worth the money for a branded item
This is a nice piece of kit. It's very understated in its design but also perfectly functional. And I'm happy to see that it's bereft of the unnecessary acutriments that seem to be popular in other 'non-brands', no LED display showing charge/output/input voltages, and absolutely no torch!I bought it because the last two high mAh powerpacks that I've bought over the last two and a half years both failed just after they were year old. They were not (shall we say) recognised brands, so I decided this time to go for one that was. This Anker A1287 (525 Power Bank (PowerCore Essential 20K PD) powerbank was not the initial one I was looking at on Amazon, but there was a reviewer who stated that he was astounded by the by the new large 'block' which only supplied a slightly quicker charge for no extra capacity, and one extra USB. He also said that he had been using Anker for six years, and this particular model daily for the last three of them, and it 'had not missed a beat'. His advice was that this would be the one that people should purchase, I took it. Amazon reviews are there to help us make purchase decisions based on real customers, even if that review points to a different option.I took it because I don't need three 'outs' on my charger, two are fine. I also prefer a smaller powerbank, especially if a larger one has the same capacity. I am hoping mine will prove as reliable as was his, it will almost certainly be more so reliable than the last two expensive failures that I bought. But as I said this is a nice piece of kit and it is very simple to use and it comes with the two kinds of cable that it can be used with. It also comes with a very nice drawstring cover, which is grippy and thicker and more protective than it looks. You charge it by simply plugging it into an output source which connects to the USB-C on the powerbank. Mine plugs straight into a wall socket which has USB outlets. There are for four tiny blue LEDs embedded in the button on the front face of the power bank that will flash individually as it's charging. When all are lit and not flashing - it is charged - and it does take a very, very long time from an outlet like mine. But then they all have done, and I don't mind as this holds its charge for a seriously long time....weeks in my case and probably longer. To charge tablets phones and large electronics like that, you plug the cable into either of the two ports, and the other ends (duh), into your device. There's nothing you need to do if charging these items, the lights of which indicate capacity stored in the power bank will start to flash and as the power drains the lights will diminish one by one. Unplug your device when done.It also has something that I've never seen on any of my previous 'banks' and which I don't need on this one, and never will. It's trickle-charging mode - it's specifically to charge Bluetooth earphones and smart watches...According to the instruction book this can only be done from the USB slot on the charger which is indicated by 'IQ' as opposed to 'PD' which is the USB-C output. How it's done is as follows:Either press the power button in the powerbank twice, or hold for two seconds until the first of the four LED's turns green to enter trickle-charging mode.Plug in and then charge your devices at the IQ port, and then remove them from the powerbank.Press the power button once (LED turns blue) to exit trickle-charging mode.Like I said earlier it's a nice power bank and I do hope it will last a lot longer than the non branded ones that I've bought previously.Update. After a full charge it will charge my Samsung A22 5G three times from around 5%. It takes an absolute age to do the last 2%, I don't know why as I have 'fast charge' turned off in the settings. But once it's done charging the phone thrice, it has about 7% of the fourth charge before it dies with one blue LED showing. I do charge my phone powered off.UPDATE 2 (2 years later)I've not used it a lot as I have solar panels so charge my phone from the USB ports in the sockets for free, but I do use it if it is night and I need to charge my phone, or if I am away. Now it will only charge my almost phone two-and a half times, and it takes a whole day to charge itself....
