Fantastic Keyboard
I've owned more mechanical keyboards than any reasonable person should, all Cherry MX switches of various colors (red, brown, blue, clear) but this was my first foray into Topre switches and oh man was it worth the price. I spent months debating spending this much on a keyboard because I truly struggled to see how the price could be justified when I could find GREAT quality Cherry MX boards for much less. After a long debate I finally pulled the trigger and it was so worth it. They're a beautiful balance of the tactile click of a blue switch and the smoother bump of a brown one but with a more subtle noise. Don't get me wrong, this thing is still loud, but it doesn't have the click/clack noise that carries, it's more of a muted thump that isn't picked up by a mic quite so badly. However, I would still only use Topre switches at home, preferring a combo of red switches and o-rings for my office keyboard to keep noise down.If you're on the edge considering a Topre switch setup and can afford this keyboard just do it, these switches truly are the next step up above Cherry MX.

Nothing Bests Realforce 87UB/45g and 55g Keyboards
I, too, bought my all 45-gram 87UB keyboard from Elite Keyboards, which is a reputable company.I own both 45- and 55-gram 87UB keyboards. I've grown to prefer the 45-gram for comfort and the exceptional feel of Topre's 45-gram key-switches. The 55g has a firmer, as you would expect, feel and perhaps has a slightly faster rebound compared to the 45g switch, but it's difficult to discern the microseconds' rebound-difference between the 45g and 55g switches. If you use your keyboards for typing lengthy documents, you'll likely find the 45g to be comfortable to use for hours of work, perhaps a bit less demanding than the 55-g RF. I've begun using my 45-gram almost exclusively because I want to adjust to the lighter switch; if I go back-and-forth between the 45g and 55g, I'm forced to readjust to the lighter 45-gram switch. The worst I can say is the best I can say: both key-switch weights are excellent; and no other keyboard, including the revered HHKB and IBM Model Ms, rivals or bests a Realforce 87UB.

The greatest decision you'll ever make
There's a reason why these keyboards are as expensive as they are. If you spend a lot of time at the computer and are relatively proficient at typing then you should invest in one of these or the other key type. Obviously if you require the number pad then buy the full keyboard.I have absolutely zero complaints about this keyboard. It's like your fingers are having sex when you're typing on this thing. I only wish that there were more custom Topre key sets so I could bling this thing out the way I'd like without spending a fortune. If you're wanting to macro with your games you'll probably want to get the Happy Hacking keyboard, which uses the other switch weight and has programmable features. It's also unbelievably quiet. I use mine in my office/classroom. I'm likely going to start taking it home with me because I miss it when I get home and type on my MX Browns. Even though MX browns are awesome. They still don't compare to this.

Wonderful keyboard. I know this thing is designed specifically ...
Wonderful keyboard. I know this thing is designed specifically for typing but I use it for gaming. The keys are crisp and catch at the right point for my hand. The craftsmanship feels superb from the first time you pick it up and feel the weight. The look of the keyboard is awesome as well with the matte black finish. I will say that at times it's hard to tell some of the function keys when you need to see them and there are no back lights except for the small lights on cap locks and number locks. Overall great keyboard.
