After sanding down the curb rash a little bit to level the surface, the black paint was super easy to apply with either the pen tip or the brush. The clear coat hides the everything really well! The key is to sand down a little bit of the surface flat in order for the newly painted surface to be convincing (or use a surface primer). I have to search hard to find where it was previously scuffed up.
