Don't buy Amazon "used" if you want warranty assistance from manufacturer even w/ factory sealed pkg
Do not buy this as an Amazon not completely new product because The Pond Boss will NOT honor any warranty even if the packaging is completely factory sealed upon receipt. Simply because Amazon labeled it as "used" the manufacturer will not assist and only offered to waive shipping on a brand new unit (at full price from them). The pump died approximately 50 hours after installation (the pump and the light both failed) and other items plugged into the same heavy duty outlet were still working. Attempted troubleshooting the item with the manufacturer technical support prior to them denying to honor any warranty because my proof of purchase said it was "used".

Works great and very easy to install
I like this it’s worked great but to weak for my fountain I was going by the water it holds and not the hight so it will only run water out of one of mine. The brand is great so I just ordered a larger one

Low volume
While this pump was an exact replacement, it would not pump water very high in my 4.5’ tall fountain so I purchased another larger pump

LOUD HUMMING-IT DOES NOT SHUT OFF WHEN WATER IS LOW
This pump is strong and works silently and efficiently (light and pump) when the fountain is full of water. However, it DOES NOT shut off when water is low or when the fountain runs out of water. Instead, it stays on and emits a very loud, penetrating and annoying humming that is quite disturbing in the wee hours of the night. One night last week, around 11:00 pm, as we were turning in for the night, we heard the loud humming for the first time. I checked all around inside the house and there were no problems inside. Then I thought the humming might be coming from one of the two water fountains we have outside. I could not pinpoint the location of the humming; and I “blamed” the humming on one of our rear neighbors’ swimming pool; and decided to attempt to tune the humming out of my head for the rest of the night. BUT, since I was already outside I decided to refill the fountains anyway. The humming did not stop right away; but by the time I got to our bedroom, the humming had stopped. This morning, around 3:00 am, I woke up to the loud humming. I went outside and noticed the fountain using this pump had run out of water. Rather than to mess with a water hose at that time of the morning; I shut off the electrical power to the fountains; and the humming immediately stopped. So this pump was the source of the annoying noise last week. I am pretty sure now other neighbors might have been disturbed by the humming emanating from this pump. Now that I know of this problem, I can monitor the fountains so they would not be empty overnight. Apparently, the low water shut off and the low water internal sensors on this fountain had stopped working.

Received a defective product.
Received a defective product. I’m replacing it with the same product. Hopefully the second one will work. The light worked but the pump did not.
