Pro Tips for Using These Connectors
Once you get the knack for it, these connectors just totally rock. Get a stripper, a good crimping tool, enough connectors that you can practice a bit, and you will love them.THREE IMPORTANT HINTS:(1) There are various kinds of T&B connectors appropriate for different varieties of RG-6-ish cable. Always buy the right connector for your cable, or you're gonna have a really bad time.(2) Even with the right connector, it's prolly gonna take some force to drive the cable into the connector. The lazy man's way of doing this (taught to me by DX Engineering) is to put the connector nut down on a can't-be-scratched surface, grab the cable, and put your body weight into forcing the cable into the connector.(3) PRO TIP: the face-down trick won't get the cable all the way in -- you want the center conductor to protrude 1/16 to 1/8th inch past the nut on the connector. So buy a pack of angle-connectors, screw the connector onto the angle connector, then push the cable the rest of the way out. The part below works great for this: Mediabridge F-Type Right Angle Adapter - Gold Plated - 90° Female to Male Connector - 10 Pack - (Part# CONN-F81G-RA-10 )

Worked great
I accidentally cut the coax for our Dish satellite one Saturday trimming the hedges and went online to see how to splice it saving from having to wait on a repair person. I went to Radio Shack and they did not have any weather proof connectors in stock so I got a cheap, temporary solution that was not weatherproof and found these connectors and ordered a pack of 10. The first 2 I tried did not not compress correctly so I went back to try and figure what I was doing wrong. The trick is not only stripping the cable the wire the correct length by measuring and not guessing (the special tool for this is a MUST), but also making sure you push the coax cable as FAR as you can into the connector before using the compression tool. Once I did that my 2 splices were done in a matter of seconds. I connected them using the male to male threaded adaptors and my Dish was back online. It has been raining quite a bit since I made the repair with no issues.

Easy, secure
I burned through 10 of the standard rg6 ends with varying degrees of frustration and failure. But hey, they were cheap. I inspected the connections my directv installer used and this is what they were so I gave them a try.Very easy to connect with a compression tool and they are secure, snug and working after only 30seconds compared to the 5mins of trying to figure out the standard kind.If you're doing a home install, definitely spend the little extra $ and use compression over crimp-style.

Easy as pie
Actually, I've made pie, and using these connectors is much easier. I am a first-time, diy coax cable-maker, and I found that these connectors were very easy to use. Make sure that you have a good stripper and compressor, and watch an instructional video if you've never worked with coax cable, and you will probably have the same experience I did--every single connector was very easy to place on the end of my cables, and every connection was solid. No problems at all.

Likely industry standard & works with standard compression tool
Bought some last year from home depot anf everyone worked/compressed with no issues. Home Depot no longer carries them &Lowes doesnt hav them. I bought both Ideal and Klein Tools versions and they wont work with my compression tool. The metal sleeve just strips metal off and wont compress. Just bought a new box of these so i can finish my project up.

Look elsewhere!
Didn't know I was going to get the last 10 someone had left in their garage from an opened bag. All connectors have grease all over them, unlike the ones I bought at lowes before. Definitely not a retail package.

Solid connectors
I use these for both indoor and outdoor applications. I have yet to have any fail on me.

Makes it so much easier
Once I figured out how they work I was able to finally get a good cable end. Wasted quite a bit of money before finding these on Amazon.
