There are 2 different sizes listed 1 size says 6 1/4 - 6 7/8 another size listed is 61/4 - 7 1/8.** A: It is 61/4 - 67/8 **Q: Can this be returned if it doesn’t fit?** A: Yes **Q: does the helmet have space for a ponytail** A: I know I'm 2 years late to answer this question but I wanted to in case someone else needs the answer. I bought this helmet in the spring of 2019 and it does have a channel between the pads where my daughter's ponytail fits.
