Review: Good stuff, prints well on black microfiber sunglass cases. I can get very white print or semi white depending on my methods and that is exactly as it should be.. UPDATE: I got a new 180 mesh screen and this ink don't like it. Due to the thickness of the ink it is difficult to get enough ink to transfer through the screen and when I do, because of the small holes it sucks some of the ink back off the fabric. The ink is too thick and when I pull the screen up, the suction don't pull the ink out of the mesh, the mesh sucks the ink back off the fabric in places. I got some half way decent results but wasted a bunch of bags because I just kept on trying different techniques. So there goes some bucks down the drain for my new aluminum 180 mesh screen. I think I'm going to buy some latex paint tomorrow and try that, then thin it as needed to see if I can salvage and use that nice aluminum frame with 180 mesh screen and the nice diazo emulsion stencil I made. I am also going to make a new screen out of 100 count mesh, like my old screen but using the new the speedball emulsion kit. The speedball emulsion kit works pretty well but you have to go fast and spread it thin. Oh well, at least I got the emulsion kit so I can do it right when I make the new screen with 100 mesh. One last thing, that is, uh, kinda funny. I just noticed on the ink container that it says in BOLD LETTERS this ink is not for nylon... WHAT? I'm on my 3rd jar of this ink and I'm just about certain the microfiber bags I am printing are NYLON. So.... The ink seems to work fine, if I have time I let it air dry. If I'm in a hurry I apply the ink thin and heat cure it with a heat gun and a laser thermometer at 200 degrees. I have to heat it once, cool it down to about 70 degrees then reheat it back to 200 again. I usually can get the ink completely cured and dried doing this but not always. Much better to be able to give it few days to air dry. ~
Review: I've used some pearls before, but not this specific one. Obviously, I've been looking for a way for white to not crack, so I tried this pearl white. I liked that it was a little thinner than plain white and it went on really nice. It's kind of an off white, not silver and not white. Like an actual pearl maybe. I didn't have to use any more than with any other color, probably less actually because it isn't as thick. I have high hopes that it won't crack as much since it didn't have to be gobbed on. I'm not sure how it would do on black, but I've used a multitude of colors so far (65% poly/35% cotton) and it was fantastic. I also used a slightly textured surface under it in hopes it will also help it to not crack. I'll update if I notice cracking. My only complaint is that it did seem to gum up my screen more than other colors. Maybe that will mean it won't crack as much? I only got about 3 shirts done before my screen need scrubbed out. I don't make a ton of shirts so it's not a big deal, but for those that do, be aware. Otherwise, it worked great.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many washes will this last through?**
A: Honestly, it lasted about 1 wash. Ink was cured for the correct amount of time, using an industrial heat press but I have experienced this now with White Speedball and Gold Speedball Ink meant for fabric application. I started buying my supplies from http://www.screenprinting.com/ (rayonet.com) Great supplier. Very honest about their products and their longevity. Hope this helps!

**Q: How many coats of this are required for it to look metallic gold? I'm wondering if one application will work.**
A: One

**Q: Does this show up well on black fabric?**
A: It seems to depend on how absorbent the fabric is, and how densely it is woven. It does show up well regardless, but I found that on some fabrics it looked less opaque if I didn't glob it on thicker.

**Q: Will this work for fabric block printing?**
A: Great question! Our Fabric Screen Printing Inks do not have the amount of tack or thickness required for block printing as these inks have been designed to be pushed through screen printing mesh. We would advise using Speedball Fabric Block Printing Inks available on Amazon.

I used the ink to screen print onto 17 light blue shirts. Four passes with the squeegee provided good coverage. I used a heat press to set the ink but I have not tried washing my shirt yet.
