Mild pleasant taste
I grew up on Puerto Rican coffee. I would sit with my mom as a child with my cup of cafe con leche (watered down mostly milk lol) but growing up the smell filled our home and as l got older l grew to appreciate what a good cup of brew can be. So with this purchase l was looking to try something special. I couldnt find anything that said these beans are grown on the island of Puerto Rico on the bag. Or the sales pitch on Amazon but l gave it a try anyway. The aroma is pretty but light and the flavor is mild. You have to grind it very very fine to get the best of this coffee. I think its best as an afternoon coffee. It has a mild smooth flavor and was easy on the belly. I didnt get the morning kick l need from my cup of coffee like I'm used to. This is very expensive and in my opinion didnt make the mark for the price. It lacks the intense aroma and flavor lm used to in my Puerto Rican coffee. I will be sticking with Hacienda San Pedro coffee beans.

OK, this coffee is superb, flavor, aroma, rich finish with hint of coco.
OK, this coffee is superb, flavor, aroma, rich finish with hint of coco.Puerto Rican coffee is some of the BEST coffee in the world and was sought-after by the very rich! Most people don't ever have a chance to taste Puerto Rican coffee, the government controls the price of coffee and its distribution so that the folks on the island have the ability to have coffee. There is a large population that live very humbly throughout the island and can only afford coffee with price fixes in place.Puerto Rican coffee was exported to the Russian Czar's and royals of Europa, making it unavailable for the islanders. Today the production is still controlled by local gov. but with the advent of the internet, some boutique's, Puerto Rican coffee is now available. For me this is one of the Best coffee's I can buy now. The person who gave this a 2 star rating, I think he is confused, the price is not at all bad. Taking into consideration that Kona small batch or Blue Mountain Jamaican runs about $60.00 per lbs.Personal, I like this better than either Kona or Blue Mountain, the growing climate is the same.Actually, don't tell anyone, it should be a secret, more for me........

I looked up the 10 best coffees and decided on Yauco Selecto AA Coffee
After having a cup of gourmet coffee while dining out, I started thinking about finding a gourmet coffee for home. I looked up the 10 best coffees and decided on Yauco Selecto AA Coffee. It was hard to find as roasted beans in a decent amount at an affordable price until I searched Amazon. I was worried about freshness, but when I opened the package, that fear went out the window. The beans were fresh and fragrant. Once ground and brewed they made the most amazing cup of coffee. It was mild and flavorful with none of that acidity aftertaste that I dislike so much in coffee at popular outlets. The article I read said Yauco coffee was best from Puerto Rico. I don't have a lot of experience in gourmet coffee but I can say this, I think this coffee worth every penny I paid for it and then some. Try it. You'll like it.

Good but pricey and Canadian?
This was good, but I don't understand why it comes from Canada. I was hoping to purchase Puerto Rican coffee. It seems odd, but this coffee was tasty. The price could be lower, though. For a few dollars more on Amazon, I can purchase two pounds of Alto Grande whole beans. I prefer that one.

Very nice. Top ten
Very nice. Top ten. Fresh roast, nice brew up, crema.... sup to the cup. We drink different coffees, always searching, this one is exceptional. I like a nice, full-flavored coffee, roasted right. Often you get good beans poorly roasted and it shows. Harsh finish, tasting almost toasted instead of roasted... you know what I'm talk'n 'bout right? If you appreciate good coffee, you will appreciate this.

This is the AMAZING coffee I remember from my trips to Puerto Rico.
I used to teach computer classes a few times a year in Puerto Rico. I always loved the coffee and could never find anything close to it. FINALLY, a great tasting coffee. I've been very happy with this coffee. It brings back many fond memories of my trips to PR.
