The Perfect Clay - just add a bit of water to your fingers to change consistency
First of all, I did not receive any incentive for this review. All too often I buy something from Amazon and I get a “receive a $10 gift card for your five-star review”. I refuse to review those products even if I like them. This hair clay is the BEST! For those who said it was too difficult to work with, there is a very simple solution - rub a little in your hands and then wet your fingertips and work that small amount of water into the clay before working into your hair. You can easily get the clay to any consistency you want, as the clay is very water-soluble. If I’m working it into damp hair, I make the clay a little more watery. If I am using it after drying, as a finishing clay, I work less water into it. For my purposes the clay is a little too thick to use without any water whatsoever. But that is because I have very fine hair. The second thing to note about this clay is that it is very concentrated. A little goes a very long way. I just purchased my second tub after many months. That makes it perfect for traveling. One small travel container will last at least three weeks. As I mentioned, my hair is vey fine (lots of it, but limp and definitely in need of product). This is one of the only clays/pomades I’ve found that actually adds body, control and “thickness” to my hair. It doesn’t weigh my hair down and absolutely never gets greasy. It stays matte and holds incredibly well. I love the fact that I can put just enough in my hair that it looks styled but not stiff. I can run my fingers through my hair to re-style it if the wind blows hard or it gets rained on a bit.My only suggestion to the owners is that they include some tips with their product (maybe they do and I missed it). If they explained that it is easy to change the consistency of the clay by adding a bit of water to the fingertips, I think they would have 100% 5-star reviews. Like so many of you out there, I have a drawer filled with “used one time” hair clays. I feel terrible throwing them away, but they just didn’t work for me. So to be on my second tub of this stuff says worlds. It is by far the best I’ve ever used. I consider it “The perfect clay”!

Awesome product, especially for the price
I never leave reviews simply out of sheer laziness/lack of compassion, but felt compelled to review this product because it deserves recognition.I've tried/used many hair products in the past (mainly hair creams/clays from popular hair product companies). Many of them are over priced, leave my hair super greasy, smell strongly, or just don't get the job done. I feel this hair product really does what it claims to do. Granted, it does contain parabens in the ingredients which is kind of sketchy. But alas, we are all probably going to die from cancer anyways, so yolo.PROS:-hold is strong but not heavy-doesn't leave hair feeling super greasy-very mild, non-descript scent-hold lasts forever-small amount of product necessary to get great resultsCONS:-pretty damn dry (this stuff is the literal definition of "matte")-contains parabens-hair does become a bit "rough" feeling. This product doesn't leave your hair super smooth. In all, this product is great for the price. I will most likely keep buying this because you can't beat the convenient hold and ease of use that this product delivers. Just take out the parabens and I'll be 100% satisfied knowing I can die of some other carcinogenic exposure over the course of my lifetime.

Definitely will hold your hair in place
It does have a really good hold. The scent is very subtle not overpowering for some of those out there who complain about having sensitivities to sense I guess that’s a plus. Overall the product is not bad, but as far as clays go it is very stiff almost as thick as North Carolina clay, LOL. Does require some effort to apply to your finger tip and I would advise using just a small dab of warm to hot water to be malleable and apply better. After it has been left in your hair it leaves a Gritty dry texture so not exactly easy to run your hands through after it has set, but it will last all day especially if you’re busy or active in your Daily routine or at work.In my own personal opinion with the kind of work I do and anyone involved in public service this product will hold your hair in place relatively well and even though it takes some time to apply and it is particularly thick and not necessarily easy to get on the tip of your finger I do have to say it has held up and start the challenge at work....so kuddos!

Best yet! Read for details about my year long experience with this goodness!
I bought this when they were in their startup phase I believe? It’s been over a year now and I still have the same can while using 3x-4x/week.Pros: no scent-a tab will do ya. Nickel size goes a LONG way.-if in a hurry and can’t shower you can wet your hair from previous application and it works just like the original application-I’ve got John Ham hair. I tried about 6 products before this and noon could hold up through the day. In comes this ballistic beast. Hold all day and very easy to style. The hold is strong but leaves a natural look.Cons:-Takes a few days of getting used to. I saw people complain about how hard it is to spread. Slap a small amount in your hand and rub it out like you were 12yrs old again. The friction heats the clay into a viscous puddy and you’re ready to go. Hairdryer for a serving on your palm does the trick as well if you’ve got porcelain hands.

Parabens
Works perfect, actually thought I had found my go to clay. It has parabens though and left my scalp feeling scaly red and itchy. Would honestly be too good without parabens.
