Mozo Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Qi Wireless Charging Back Cover Case with NFC - White/Silver

It looks great but how long will it last? I will start with the good: I'm not crazy about the color gold and thought it would clash given the brushed metal around the camera but I was wrong - it looks great. I love the red leather and the leather itself is well-dyed. Even with a modest chafe, it is visibly the same shade of red below the textured outer layer of leather. It held up well compared to other leather cases that I had in that it did resist dying from denim or wearing out fast.Now the bad: The "gold" is just painted plastic. While at the moment the only mar in the paint is a scratch on one of the rounded corners, it is only black plastic underneath; and the fact that the phone hardly tumbled around in my day to day use, I would expect more durability for $40+. To elaborate, it is in a back pocket for about 1~2 hours of the day all by itself with nothing ever rubbing up against it OR it's laying on a table/desk so after only about a month it makes me question the longevity of the paint job. One corner has a slight, hard-to-notice unevenness to where the leather meets the plastic but hard to tell whether it's a fray in the leather or an err in the bonding.I'll abstain from commenting on Qi since I don't use the feature.Overall it looks great and if the plastic were metal then I'd say this would be definite 5 stars but for a "premium" product to take a shortcut on 1 of only 2 materials used then it's a bit of a downer but not a complete loss. I'm really hoping it holds the test of time and will edit if need be.

I've been using a Mozo case with the Lumia 950 for about 6 months now and really like it. When I moved to the Lumia 950 XL, it was a no brainer to get another Mozo case. The metallic sides accent the leather backing nicely and makes the phone look sharp. However, on the 950 XL case the power button sits extremely low. At first I thought it was a defective case and swapped it out for another, but the replacement had a low power button as well.The 950 case had very responsive buttons, but with the power button sitting so low I cannot say the same for the 950 XL case. The design does help distinguish the volume buttons that sit on either side of the power button, but makes it extremely difficult to press the button. The case looks good, fits snug (no creaking) but the button issue is a deal breaker for me. I just wish more choices out there for battery covers for the 950 XL. The stock cover is okay but does not feel very solid.

I bought this as an alternative to buying a case to protect the phone case...I've had mine for a few months now and really like it, especially now that it has some patina from use. For a few weeks after it was no longer new but hadn't quite broken in, I was a bit concerned that it might not hold up. Now that it's broken in with a few scuffs and scratches it actually looks and feels better.IT does offer some shock resistance over the original case - my phone has fallen off the kitchen counter, off my desk on to concrete floors, and out of my hands while getting into/out of the car- the worst damage I've had was that the glass screen protector broke. II does not offer the same protection that a Silicone/TPU case might but seems to be a good compromise between ergonomics and protection.The QI wireless charger works as well if not better than the original back that came with the phone.Comments about the buttons being a bit stiff are correct but you get used to it, and they do soften up a bit over time.The price is what it is-

It looks and works great and makes the phone look really premium... However after just a few weeks I have started to notice that the silver paint used on the "metal ring" around the sides of the phone has started to slightly rub off and show the black on one of the top corners. It is very slight and you don't notice it unless you are looking closely for it. I keep my phone in my front pants pocket by itself so the wear was caused from it rubbing on the pocket as it goes in. The black leather looks very nice and adds just the right amount of grip so the phone is no longer slippery like it was with the stock back cover. I really like the cover but it is hard to recommend at such a high price. If it had real metal on the sides so it would last longer without blemishes I would give it 10 stars. The built in wireless charging works well. I have not tested the built in nfc.

I was extremely excited to get my hands on this case. It just looked so amazing in pictures. The case did look good and it fit mostly well. The power button didn't seem to work as well as the original cover. The "metal" band is simply colored plastic and doesn't have same texture as real metal. Those two gripes aside, it just looked so good when I first put it on.Fast forward a few months, the "leather" is slightly discolored in places. Not sure where the blue came from, but it looks like there's slight blue stains on it. Further, it seems like the leather is starting to peel back from the case in the corners. I've babied my phone, so I'm not sure what is going on with it. Overall, I applaud Mozo for providing a unique accessory for the Lumia 950XL, but for the price I expected bit more and I hoped it would at least last six months. At this rate, I doubt it will.

As others have pointed out, the cover makes the power button harder to press. You can simply fix this with a strand of electrical tape, or a fragment of an old credit card, but I've decided to leave it as-is. The phone slides into and out of my pocket smoother and I'm now trained to press it more squarely. I also use double tap turn on.I really like the cover because it seems to protect the phone better in drops than the default hard plastic case, and it makes the phone stand out. I take pictures of folks, and they ask me what kind of phone it is. I haven't yet noticed the painted silver fading, as others have reported (using about one month so far)

Bought from total digital stores while OOS from Amazon. Genuine product delivered quickly.On the Mozo side of things...The cover itself changes the whole character of the phone from a utilitarian box to something that feels great in the hand and people seem genuinely curious about (until they see it's a Windows Phone...!) Qi charging works but don't have any NFC to test it with, my contactless card sets it off so that leads me to believe it's ok. No problems with creaking or the buttons "sinking" into the cover as some people seem to have, unsure if I'm lucky or there's been a revision. I'm always on it and with double tap to wake being absent from the 950's the power button gets a workout and 2 months after fitting all is well. Took it off to show a friend and they thought it was going to break but in reality seems built to last. I'm a fast ring insider so have had to do more than the usual amount of battery-pull resets and it still looks as good as new.

This review is about the Mozo Wallnut case for Lumia 950 XL.I always like to have something premium. Something others don't have or something that is unique. This Mozo case is perfect example.It is really nice, quality made case. With real wood, which you can feel under your fingers, and all the functionality it has, this case is great choice.It replaces the black (or white) original case and it gives the Lumia 950 XL that luxurious look and feel it deserves.Case it self fits perfectly, but on the other hand it is really hard to get if off, as is fits tightly. Maybe another problem is that the buttons on the side are not as responsive as on the original case. You have to push bit harder to unlock the phone. This did not improve over the time, but I got used to it. Some may find this as an advantage- they will not unlock the phone by accident.I have this case for several months and there is no sign of wear or tear on it. That's how great was made.I can easily recommend this case to others. Especially if you want to have something others don't have and it also functional.

Looks good but very poor build quality and remarkably fragile.Easy on buy difficult to get back off, mine has cracked on one side after trying to take it off again.Leather started to peel on one corner after one week, had to superglue it back down.Very over priced considered.Vender were great though, prompt dispatch and quick delivery.

The case is brilliant. I've been rocking it on my Lumia 950 XL for a few months now. It's definitely an upgrade over the stock case you get on the phone when you purchase it. You can really smell the leather when you first purchase it. The main problem I have with the case is that the leather scratches quite easily and it starts to look a little 'tired'.I did get quite a few people who were interested in my phone because of this case. People seemed to love it as much as I did.

Package arrived a couple of days earlier than expected,thankfully someone was in to accept the package. The cover added a little more weight to the phone than the stock cover, but not by a great deal and seems well made(only on day 2 old). The only negatives that I have found are that the buttons are a bit stiff and with the metallic sides being a bit more slippery than the stock 950xl cover, it makes pressing the buttons slightly harder. I guess over time the button will loosen up a bit which should help out. All in all I am pleased with the purchase at a great price at £21.95.
