Visible Wireless SIM Card | As Low as $25/mo Unlimited Data Prepaid Cell Plan

Yes, I'm aware they now have eSIM. No I'm not interested in eSIM. I want a physical SIM where I can activate the SIM via online prompts through providing the IMEI/ICCID for activation. I ordered this SIM and the back and forth between Visible support is a huge waste of time. Every new Visible account is sent a SIM card. I don't want to use that SIM card, I want to use the SIM card I've ordered from Amazon. Visible support agents seem to be confused by this. This should be as simple as providing two strings; the ICCID and IMEI - carriers have done this for years, yet this seems to totally baffle Visible. They refer to this as a 'cold SIM activation' - the only cold thing about it is when a certain place that will freeze over before Visible is able to activate this physical SIM for you. I'm on my 2nd attempt to activate the SIM, two hours into this, with no progress.

Previously you could easily create an account and activate this cold SIM using the visible website or app.For whatever reason, Visible has changed this and has hidden the option to activate a SIM on the app.You must use the website at visible.com/switch or /go.I was successfully able to create an account, activate service, and port a number today, April 1, 2021 (no joke).I'm taking a star off for making this more difficult than it used to be.

DO NOT BUY THIS. This product won't will not work no matter how hard you try. In order for the SIM to be activated you must have an email and password with visible associated with that SIM. Since you're buying from Amazon, no such thing exists, therefore you can't get it activated. This is a waste of money, time, and most likely a scam to retrieve data from people's phones, do not buy into it.

Lowered my rating from 2 to 1 star.I really wanted this to work!!It's a crap shoot. Too much to write but I spent three days getting this phone up and running. This morning I had no service at all. I contacted them from my iPad and just as they responded my service came back up.They could not tell me why there was no service this morning, they could not tell me what direction the closest tower is in.The main problem I was having was data speed and the main reason I bought this phone and service is for the data. They are the only company I can find that gives you true unlimited data for a good to excellent price but the service in South Texas is terrible.By the way, I did find out if I go to the east end of my house I get data speeds that I can stream with connected to my Roku. Well, it failed after less than an hour.I was told by their help line (chat) that I was in a poor reception area. I drove a few miles east of my house, got 5G with all bars and the data speeds were still lousy, less than 3 both upload and download and at times as poor as (point 25) yes, that’s correct ((.25)) useless..Today I can’t get on their website to cancel their service. By the way, business with them is always by the internet in one way or another.Do not purchase !!!

Very smooth activation - if you follow the steps exactly - and best luck on an iPhone. I did two of these, one on Android and one on iPhone. On Android, I followed instructions as directed, service was obtained quickly, but the online account got "stuck" preventing me from joining a party pay immediately, but after a chat with tech support, all was fine. On the iPhone - it was perfect - but it did take a few minutes to get signal (be patient and follow the instructions exactly). This is a great deal - sure it's a $1 where they would send you one for free directly, but this way you're not on their timeline for porting, etc.

It's cheap, sure, but an absolute waste of money.You can't even use this to activate Visible. I wanted to buy this so I had the SIM to activate when I wanted to... Nope. I had to wait two days for shipping when I created my account, and they sent a free visible activation kit.

Visible suits my needs to a T, 5 mbs per second is good enough for any youtube video and I can hotspot all the data if I want. The pros on visible can be foud on website so I wont repeat. Great value, highly recommend.
