In getting my house ready to sell, I didn't know what to do about the corroded porchlight. (Curb appeal is important, right?) It had a brass(?) finish which was beyond perking up with polishing. I was afraid I wouldn't get any paint to stick to the metal, but this product did the trick. I followed it with an antique brass metal spray paint. Wear proper organic vapor respirator. Repeat wear respirator. OK that out-of-the-way it goes on like water covers really well. I go through about three paint cans to one etching primer. It cures faster with a heat lamp. Don’t use hot air to dry lacquer-based paint it shrinks with hot air; I’ve had fantastic results with heat lamp, or sunlight..
