**Q: How can it fit a standard spigot for garden hose which is 5/8"?**
A: All out door spigots are standard size and thread. The size of your hose doesn't matter. It's the fittings on it. The 3/4" fittings are standard to all garden hoses.

**Q: Will this connect to just a standard water hose?**
A: A simple  yes... no worries about connections to a standard water hose

**Q: Will this fit any wall washer and dryer hook up**
A: All the fittings are standard hose connections, but I'm not sure why you would want to use it to hook up an automatic washer.  I use it to manually select the temperature of water I want when filling a tub or bucket.

I needed this to connect a portable washer to my permanent laundry hookups. It's worked as advertised and I have had no problems. I'm very much a novice at these types of things so needless to say these were very easy to use. They were compatible with my standard hookups and I had no issues installing and there have been no leakage issues either. The material appears to be heavy duty plumbing hardware and tubing. I don't anticipate any problems.
