Wash care This fabric can be machine washed and dried, but as always we highly recommend washing it in low settings, or hand washing and air drying fabrics in order to best retain its quality. Perfect size You will get 10 yards long and 63 inches wide muslin cloth which isn't precut so you can simply customize it as per your needs. 100% pure cotton Unlike others, we choose not to add any synthetic fibers or other impurities in the cloth so that you get is 100% cotton muslin cloth. On the photo you can see that they advertise it for such purpose (photo on the mannequin). However, this product is absolutely NOT suitable for modeling. It’s been a pain to readjust (as it keeps moving around and stretching). Something that was supposed to be 20 min job now turns into an hour as you need to readjust the fabric! I’d rather sew on 7-10 dirham rayon/polyester than this. I do understand that sellers do not have experience working with the products they sell, but I wish they educated themselves in order to provide suitable products to their customers. In the future I’ll order the material from abroad as it will be exact product and it would cost me less. That to say, the material itself is comfortable to touch, but do not advertise it as a product for fittings/pattern making! It is absolutely lovely. **Q: How well would this work for clothing? Like a Medieval monk costume?** A: I think it would work very well. It's heavy fabric. You could always dye it the color you need it to be. **Q: Does it shrink when washed?** A: I have not washed this muslin as it was not necessary for my intended application. However, most 100% cotton fabric will shrink when washed and dried. **Q: Is this good for making costume period undergarments?** A: Yes. It is a light weight natural cotton and should be comfortable. However, there is a LOT of shrinkage. Be sure to wash in hot water and iron before cutting out your pattern pieces. Be aware that linen, not cotton, was the fabric most likely to be used as undergarments from the medieval period into 18th centuries. Cotton would be imported.
