Review: so far, a good reliable service - The setup was straightforward, and activating the SIM didn’t take long. It’s a good option if you want a flexible prepaid plan at a low cost. Coverage has been reliable for calls and data in my area, and the BYO phone setup makes it convenient.
Review: Cheap. Great Data. Reception Sketchy However. - TMO network, which isn't great in my area of rural appalachia. Cheap however. Moving from cricket as they kept jacking up rates and running out of data. Tello gives me 50GB of data a month compared to only 3gb from cricket and costs way less cricket was 35/month plus a 5 hey you didn't renew on-time fee so basically $40 a month where Tello is only $25/month after the promo ends. I DO NOT like that I don't receive texts when I come back off airplane mode or out of signal, like they aren't stored or resent, if you don't have your phone on and have a signal you aren't getting the text, even later. So, it's cheap and I have tons of data however the tmo signal sucks here and I'm always missing texts from my wife however I do have an excuse now. I guess check their service map before buying. Setup was quick and I ported my number, took maybe 15 minutes from loading the sim to having my number ported to it and making calls. If you're in a city go for it, I have no regrets even with their not great reception in my holler. Once you get to town 5g everywhere.

**Q: If i do not activate the sim immediately is there a time limit after which it will no longer activate?**
A: As long as you activate it within 3 months, you will have no issues.

**Q: Is this the new updated sim that supports 5g, visual voicemail, wi-fi calling, etc. on ios? or is it the old one?**
A: Hello there! and the answer is yes partially, the SIM will allow you to use Wi-Fi calling and visual voicemail on an IOS device, however, at the moment we are currently working with the 5G NSA, which is really close to 5G. The SIM itself will function properly once we launch 5G.

**Q: Will this automatically charge my card every month or can I pay month-to-month**
A: This is just a sim card, you have to choose a plan at tello which they will renew automatically and charge you every month or you can get pay as you go which is a one time payment and you can use it to call, text and data.

**Q: Is this the right card for a moto g stylus 2020?**
A: Hello! With just the make and model of the device, we cannot say for certain if it will be compatible with our network. If you have the IMEI, then use our online device checker at https://tello.com/bring_your_own_phone.
If you don't have access to the IMEI, you must look at the device's tech specs and check them off against the requirements listed below:
1. The phone needs to be GSM-compatible;
2. The Phone needs to have the following capabilities;
 - 4G LTE compatible and VoLTE friendly with our network 
 - For minimum service, your phone would need at least the following 3 bands/frequencies.
* Band 2 (1900 MHz)
* Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
* Band 12 (700 MHz)
However, for best service on our GSM network, your phone should have at least 1 of the following bands/frequencies in addition to the above 3.
* Band 5 (850 MHz)
* Band 66 (1700 Mhz)
* Band 71 (600 MHz)
For example, if the phone has bands 2, 4, 12, and 71, then that is ideal.
3. The phone needs to be unlocked.
Contact the existing carrier to confirm the locked status of the device or if you are buying a new phone, confirm with the seller.
NOTE: Our device checker page only checks for compatibility - it cannot check if your device is unlocked or locked.
Locked phones will not work on Tello.
4. Device must be made for the US market.

I get their $5 monthly no data 300 min plan just for my 86 yr old mother on her flip phone. So easy to activate and port in old cell # from Helium. I live in NYC total per month is about $7.50 with tax. Just got the elderly to have a phone contact us just in case. Try it able to call out receive no issues at all.
