It was not, upon pulling the ring (as per instructions) my wives one had a minor explosion and spat out hot residue that landed on her arm and face… it was nothing serious but left a few minor burn marks that will take some time to heal. If you’re going to buy them for fun family friendly photoshoots please make sure the handler is wearing protective gear for face and hands and never hold in your hands for prolonged period of time even with protective gear.
