Review: Excellent ruler - Love these products. ## Features - This 2-1/2 x 12-1/2 inch rectangle ruler is the perfect companion for anyone who loves to work with the 2-1/2 inch pre-cuts on the market. It features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1 inch grids marked in 1/8 and 1/4 inch increments. - Use the easy-to-read, black numbers (printed on white dots) and the 1/4 inch grip sides to cut whole inches. The 1/4 inch dashed lines printed on two adjoining sides aid in trimming seam allowances. - Use the patented Turn-A-Round feature – designated by the easy to read, numerical white numbers (printed on black dots) and the 1/2 inch grip sides – to add the 1/2 inch seam allowance. Use the white 45 degree angle to trim half-square triangles in whole inch increments. Use the black 45 degree angle to trim half-square triangles in half inch increments. - An additional black 45 degree line is placed so that two angles cross 1/4 inch away from the outside edge. Use these markings to square up flying geese units; squares set on point or mark cross-hatching. The ruler also features a 30degree/60degree angle. White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the rectangle so the center of the ruler is easily distinguishable. Use these lines to fussy cut stripes and borders. - The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0017R9Q50 | | Brand | Creative Grids | | Brand Name | Creative Grids | | Color | Black, White | | Colour | Black, White | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 out of 5 stars 702 Reviews | | Item Dimensions L x W | 5.1L x 2.5W centimeters | | Item Weight | 82 g | | Manufacturer | Custom Quilts, Inc | | Material | Acrylic | | Material Type | Acrylic | | Model | cgr212 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | cgr212 | | Product dimensions | 5.1L x 2.5W centimeters | | Style | Compact | | Style Name | Compact | | UPC | 743285000234 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Creative Grids - **Colour:** Black, White - **Material:** Acrylic - **Product dimensions:** 5.1L x 2.5W centimeters - **Style:** Compact ## Images ![Quilt Ruler 2-1/2in x 12-1/2in - CGR212 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61wa-VXxXDL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: how thick is the ruler?** A: Product description says .1 inch thick, probably an eighth of an inch. Pretty standard for quilting rulers but if you’re wondering if your blade will stay securely on the cut and not bump up over the ruler’s edge, it won’t. There are thinner rulers available for other purposes but this ruler is for serious fabric cutting. **Q: Does this particular ruler have the nonslip grip** A: Yes. It is not the kind that will scratch fabric either, just enough to stay put well but can move it easily, too. I love this brand of ruler!! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by S***R on 6 March 2026* Creative grids are the best quilting rulers on the market, may be a tad more expensive than some, but are so worth it.
