Could not get rid of the rubber smell. Had to drop 10K off the price because of this little $2 mouse. **Q: Does it work with Windows 10?** A: It worked fine on Windows 10 versions 1607 and 1703. When the 1709 applied, the pad did not work as well. Thanks to version 1803, all is well again. 😉 **Q: Does it work with optical mice?** A: This does not work with the Microsoft optical mouse. I have the Microsoft optical mouse (wired, with ergonomic keyboard) and mouse works perfectly on glass table top but not at all on this mouse pad. **Q: Does this grey one smell bad?** A: When I purchased this(about 1 week ago) it did have a bad chemical smell, but it did manage to go way after a few days. I recommend airing it out.
