One board at a time, simply line it up where you want it, leave 1/2 the stud for the next board, mark the holes, drill the pilots, put the board back, drill the provided screws (large & heavy duty) and move onto the next one. I have 4 boards lined next to each other on one wall and 2 on wall to the right, making a 64"x32" space, which was perfect for the workbench that I have under it. The workbench that I ended up going with was the "2x4basics 90164 Workbench and Shelving Storage System" and it all worked great together! Do two boards come with an order qty (1)?** A: Yes, my order came with two pieces, each was 16 inches wide. I ordered two sets (4 panels total) and connected them all together for one 32 inch by 64 inch pegboard. **Q: Which hooks should I buy? I have tried multiple 1/4" hooks and none work.** A: They make these rubber pegboard hole gaskets and I bought them on amazon Pegitz Pegboard Peg Locks 50PCS (1/4 inch, Black) they have both sizes 1/4 and 1/8 inch. I bought them in white and they work great. Worth the extra investment for the smaller pegboard accessories. **Q: Could I hinge these together, to create a zig-zag formation, something like a dressing screen works, with multiple sets?** A: Yes. you could probably attach them together with piano hinges. It would require some drilling of holes on the sides of the panels. I would probably attach them together with some #8-32 short flat head machine screws and nylon insert lock nuts. You would lose some of the weight supporting ability by not having them secured to a wall, but they would still hold a fair amount of weight if needed. For strength I would try to keep the screw spacing at about every six inches. It would make a very interesting shoji style screen. **Q: Has anyone installed this to drywall only?** A: Yes. I used the anchors that came with it. It's holding up fine. I have a complete set of copper cookware on it. Also have several saute pans, also copper. I love it. I mounted it myself. It was easy to install. But, if you can get someone to help you, it goes faster. Much easier to have someone hold it while you screw it to the wall.
