Buyer beware.
I bought this inverter to replace one in my Motorhome for the TV. As soon as I hooked it up, there was a high pitch noise coming from the unit. I've contacted the manufacturer buy phone which they never picked up. I left my phone number in a queue for a call back, but it never happened. I emailed them and got a automated response with a work order. Its been over 3 weeks and haven't heard a word from Xantrex.I just ordered another brand inverter. I will never buy from Xantrex again. I would give them a F- in customer service.

Know Your Application
This unit is to be hardwired to the vehicle battery. It's not for attachment to a cigarette lighter outlet. That's because those outlets typically furnish 150-180 watts depending on the vehicle (see owner's manual), although sometimes up to 300W.
