Okay, first let me wrap my head around trying to write a review on a door mat…Hang on I need a shot of whisky!Alrighty, I can say the texture is actually quite pleasant on bare feet.The high to low thickness texture pattern works well enough to shrap any crud off your shoes, keep in mind this texture is closer to a firm carpet rather than a bristled hair or straw stalk.The edging does have a beveled edge to prevent and tripping if you’re the type who shuffles their feet or like myself who has some scary caveman like long toenails.As for washability, I think I would stick with a squirt of dish soap & blast it with the garden hose. I don’t recommend putting it in your washer machine unless your okay with black rubber scars all over the drum.This is for my back porch, the smaller of the two I ordered. Still waiting for the larger one for my front porch.My opinion on this door mat is it is a fair purchase for the interior or exterior of you entery way.Enjoy a photo of my old doormat & the new one.Badbreath Barfly

the rug exceeded my expectations in quality, love it and it is fully waterproof. We are using it on our ramp into our home for my husband's wheelchair and the chair rolls very nicely over the rug!

Just wanted a dignified, plain doormat, and this one fills the bill. The surface is thick enough to thoroughly clean your shoes but not so thick that it would interfere with the door. Very pleased and would buy again.

this "carpet protector" works great! it grips the wall to wall carpeting extremely well, so when coming in from the deck, & wiping my feet, it stays put...no flopping around! great little product!

Used as an outdoor mat for a business with high foot traffic and all weather from 100 degrees to cold enough to snow.Purchased it about 3 years ago and it is still in good condition. No tears rips or sliding (on concrete)I always check the most recent reviews to make sure the product hasn't gone downhill over the years and I suggest you do the same.

Just received my new indoor/outdoor WeatherMax doormat, size 35X23. It is very light, my first thought was it will blow away from my front porch. Then I read that although it is marketed as both indoor and outdoor, the mats are not suitable for concrete - most front doors have a concrete entrance. So, I am returning this mat as I bought it for my front door entrance and there is concrete in addition to how very light it is. It may work well as an indoor mat.

I really like this product. I have wood floors in my kitchen and this really helps to save my floors. They are very comfortable to stand on and easy on my feet. I do a lot of cooking and in the kitchen all the time. My floors were really taking a beating until I bought this product. This product has saved my floors and my feet.
