Ordinary banana plugs won't fit the SB-1000 speaker input without major physical configuration. I recommend staying with the line-level input.

A: I do not own an Onkyo Integra dtr 9.1. It's appears somewhat comparable to a Yamaha RX-1010 that I have been using for many years, more recently with the SVS SB-1000. Using the SB-1000, expect the bass to extend lower with good accuracy. If you expect overpowering low end, you may want to consider two SB-1000 or larger SVS subwoofers.
