NexGadget IP Camera HD WiFi Security Camera Video Recording Pan Tilt Remote Motion Detect Alert

This cheap camera is awesome. Its 720p or 1mp, but very clear even at night. Its been used to catch how racoon's are destroying fish feeders, where they are hiding in attic and who's coming into house if not at home. it has an SD card slot so no need to pay for a cloud based service that can go out of business leaving your camera obsolete (see the netgear vuezone for example of what I mean if needed) it can send you an alert if motion detected and records the event you can log into the eye4 app from anywhere and see live or recoreded video. It records 24/7 to SD card but the 64gb card only lasts around 24 hours so if your going to be out of town you need to setup the motion detected alerts to save any video if something is caught otw its deleted and written over the next day or so. It has sound and a speaker to talk to someone and could be used like one of those" ring " brand doorbells. If someone walks up the motion detect sends you an alert , you open app and talk to the person at door just like your at home. They hear you ,you hear them. This camera works amazingly via my desktop computer... I connected this through my iPhone 6S Plus once, and for whatever reason cannot get it to reconnect. I've tried resetting the camera itself through the small pinhole on the back, and even deleting the App and redownloading.. nothing seems to work. It's blocking the connection somehow or something is preventing it.. I even reset my home WiFi/Router to factory settings to confirm... and still nothing. HOWEVER, VIA WiFi through the Desktop App works JUST FINE. So is it the App? I did download an update to the App just recently, which makes sense... All in all, I had to give this 4 stars because of the fact I can't view it on my phone anymore.. other than that, this is the PERFECT camera for the price. It has all the main functions you could ask for and the quality is great.

Another review update: 25 July 2016I can't connect to my camera anymore and I keep getting an alert that my camera was accessed by another phone. I try to change my password but when I open the app, I cant even log in; I get the "login fail" error. The security on this device is worrisome. Will be requesting to send this back.Review update: Vicky from NexTech emailed me promptly to help me troubleshoot. I was eventually able to connect to wifi and right now it is working fine. Will update in a few weeks to see how it's working.

While looking for a camera to keep an eye on the kids while they were home, I was looking for something that would be easy to setup and not too expensive. This was the perfect thing. I set it up within minutes and the picture is very clear. I love that your able to see, speak, record, snapshot and listen from this device and the best thing about it is that you only need WIFI and don't have to pay a monthly service for the camera. It has been one of the best investments yet. I plan to purchase at least 2 more for different areas around my home

Great IP camera for the money, setup is easy and very straight forward resolution is a adequate although would love a product producing full 1080p from this manufacturer. Please follow the instruction carefully and you will have no problems ! Have owned several cameras from other manufacturers including Swann and find this camera to be much easier to configure on the network. The menu is pretty easy to navigate, i would like to see more updates on the pan and tilt software to make it more intuitive. Overall a good IP camera with basic built in pan and tilt.

I feel compelled to begin this review by letting you know that I'm a VERY tech savvy Electrical Engineer, Embedded System and computer specialist. I wanted this to meet my needs...I must admit the cable-less "ultrasonic" setup is cool.In HD (not default), picture quality is good (I had to focus a bit - using black ring around lens).After that, it's all downhill.Unreliable."IR" night vision LEDs are visible to the naked eye - not very covert."Cruise preset" feature doesn't work.iOS application (Eye4) confusing, amateurish and virtually unusable - does not match "manual" at all. Filled with mis-spelled "translations" ("open"="enable=, "close"="disable), meaningless terms that I can't figure out.Doesn't send email verification, so you can't do email notifications.All videos time stamped identically1969/1/31Can't erase unwanted videos... even doing an in app erase.Jumps between day/night mode, triggering a motion detect video each time."Sensitivity" setting changes on its own (every tine you come back to that page, it's different)."Sunday" removes itself from your schedule spontaneously (every time you come back to that page, Sunday is disabled).It starts doing full time recording on its own, even if not enabled (endless list of fifteen minute videos that you can't erase).You can use the web-ui interface to configure it, but then how to view videos?I tried a dozen apps and couldn't find one that worked "fixed" all these bugs.(Anyone know a good app?)My head is about to explode.Too many quirks/shortcomings to detail.

Fun product. We wish it was louder though so we could tell our pets to stay off the furniture. Camera moves quite slowly. But overall a great product for the price.

Very nice video quality just wished it had a little more FPS the video is a little jerky and pauses a lot even the recorded vids are the same.
