Very good, very scratchy, very satisfied. Twice!
I am extremely pleased with the Woolrich wool shirt. I admit that I was surprised to find it was made in China, especially since Woolrich seems to make a big deal about it's U.S. mill and long heritage. Oh well. With that being said, I paid well below the standard cost and feel that I got excellent value and very good quality. The fit is good, the shirt is warm and I really like the plaid look. And yes, it's scratchy! But it's wool (at least 80% of it is). That's what I expected.Update 3 February 2016: I liked the first shirt I bought so well that I just ordered and received a second (in a different plaid color). I'm every bit as satisfied with the second as I was with the first. A word of advice to shoppers: Check back occasionally if you want to save a fair amount of money on the list price. Both of my purchases were for half or less the regular retail price. Different sizes and colors of the shirts seem to be marked down occasionally, almost randomly. If you're patient, then you may find the shirt of your choice at an excellent value.

Love this shirt !!
This is my second woolrich shirt. Ordered the red and black two weeks ago- now the black and green. My wife got tired of seeing me in the same shirt all weekend long. This shirt is well constructed and is very durable. The styling is classic, so it will always be fashionable. Most importantly it is extremely warm - I wear it as an outer garment with an Under Armour layer beneath in temps of 40 - 60.Originally ordered the large, however it was a bit oversized - returned it for a medium. The fit of the shirt is more of an athletic tapered cut, so it looks rather fitted from shoulders to waist. No room for a spare tire. I'm sure I'll get a lot of years out of these fine shirts . Too bad I can't wear it to the office ...

Woolrich Doesn't Make 'Em Like They Used To!
I first bought a woolrich men's buffalo shirt some time ago ... red and black ... have loved loved loved it! So I bought the green version, thinking "same shirt, different color." But it's not the same shirt. The original was wool, but it was soft, smooth, not itchy or scratchy - and altho pricey, it was at least 20$ less than this one. This shirt is just an inferior material. Yes it's wool, but it's rough, scratchy, and definitely itchy. I'll never wear it next to my skin. But I'll keep it because I like the color and can wear a long sleeve soft cotton knit under it. It is for winter after all. But, really disappointed that a famous name like Woolrich would put out a garment like this, so inferior to their past products!

Wonderful cold weather flannel
This is a very heavy (thick) wool flannel shirt. Plan to wear a long sleeve shirt under it if you are prone to itching from wool garments. Otherwise, this shirt will keep you warm, as only wool can. I found it to be slightly tight, compared to Woolrich Oxbow Bend cotton shirts, which fit perfectly in the same size. If you tuck your shirts in like I do, remember that it will take up some extra space, especially if you wear another shirt under it. I would definitely buy more of these shirts for the warmth and quality of them.

Good shirt, runs a little large
5’10” 155lb and I wear a small in these shirts. They run a little bigger than most shirts so you may want to order a size down. Shirt is high quality and nice and warm. A little scratchy but not bad, what you would expect with a wool shirt. Seems the more you wear it the softer it gets. I’ve bought several of these shirts and they’ve become my go to when it gets good and cold out, and nice for knocking the chill off when your inside the house on those extra cold and windy days.

Doesn't look like picture
I cancelled my order before it was sent because I came across this shirt in a store in my area. Good thing I did! I didn't like this shirt for several reasons. It is very rare that I give low ratings.1. It doesn't look good. The amazon image makes it look great when the actual shirt doesn't have nearly as much contrast in the brown pattern, which is barely distinguishable because the squares are almost the same color brown. It looks almost like a solid brown without squares.2. It is terribly uncomfortable. The fitting is all wrong. It seems to be designed for a guy who is super buff in the shoulders and chest, but very thin near the stomach. Maybe this was originally designed for a buff lumberjack who wanted plenty of freedom of movement while swinging his axe, rather than a typical guy like myself. Also, the collar is enormous in all sizes!3. There are better alternatives for the price range. The material is super-itchy! I realize this is wool, but Pendleton Wool Mills (same price range) managed to pull this off with very little itch. I ended up going with a Pendleton Board Shirt which are also wool, made comfortably, and look beautiful. They also have a much greater choice of patterns. If anyone tried on both one of these and a Pendleton, they would totally agree with me. If I'm going to pay around $100 for a shirt, it better be awesome!

Quality and good price
Purchased this despite some reviews complaining about size. Fit is perfect. Nice warm shirt. I wear it over the top of long sleeve tees in the fall and early spring. If you have sensitive skin you won't want it next to the skin as it is wool and can be itchy. Quality materials and workmanship. If you're looking for a wool shirt at a decent price. This is it.

Excellent heavy shirt
As a Woolrich customer for over 50 years, I only gave 4 star rating because the color is not as bright as my 25 year old shirt which was made in the USA by Woolrich also the shirt seems heavier than the original, but than could be a good thing if you work outside and need the warmth. I wish Woolrich would make shirts in tall sizes, as I need to buy another brand for my tall relatives. Having an accurate size chart does make it easy to order.I changed my rating to a 5 star rating after further inspection. It appears to be made as well as the Woolrich shirts of yesteryear.

Good Quality
Fit is pretty typical for a small. For me, the arms are a little long and shoulders slightly narrow. The body is loose but not too bulky, and the length is okay, but perhaps slightly shorter than normal, though it works for me. I'm satisfied with the weight and insulating property of the wool. Overall looks good quality.

Great shirt, short length, baggy arms
I usually purchase the Modern fit shirts but this one was on sale. Length may be a bit short if you are taller, but great for me (size small, I'm 5'6). I will have the sleeves taken in by a tailor because the body fits great but the arms are quite baggy, even if i'm slightly muscular. Nice thick wool, can be used as shirt-jacket.

CLASSIC FIT
The sell stated the fit was a modern fit when getting the product it was a classic fit which makes the sizing very different. The great quality shirt, this is my 5th one but im not a classic fit kind of fella.

Excellent shirt but not made in America
I have no complaints about the shirt itself. It looks great, it's made from quality materials, and it's warm. It is itchy, as one would expect from wool, but it's not meant to be worn directly on skin anyway, so it doesn't matter. My one, big, objection is that it is made in China. Being a U.S. company founded almost 200 years ago, I had hoped the shirt would be made in the U.S. Very disappointed it's not.

The S fits perfectly and its very comfortable if you like the feel of wool next to ...
I initially ordered M as that's my shirt size but found the M was too large. The S fits perfectly and its very comfortable if you like the feel of wool next to bare skin. It also fits well with a tight fitting full sleeve T-shirt
