Soap Nut Powder - 32oz - (100% Natural)

I am really impressed with the cleaning ability of the powder. My daughter has been using NaturOli for years and told me I should try it. It is so economical, too. Seems odd not to be buying more laundry detergent every month. So much less impact on the environment.

I love Reetha powder. I have been searching for a natural shampoo for my greasy hair since it started falling out a lot from around 1.5 years. I ordered first the "Hesh Aritha Powder", when I used it alone (as a tea) I was surprised of what it did to my hair, it cleaned it very well, and gave it a glossy shiny thick look. In order to stop the fall, I applied Fenugreek powder for 20 minutes before washing my hair with the Reetha (as I read about the benefits of Fenugreek for hair loss), 4 times a week. Then, after 2 weeks, I could notice that only few countable hairs were falling out, I was so happy with the result.Now I wanted to order big quantity of Aritha powder because the "Hesh Aritha Powder" has only 100mg per box, so I found the NaturOli Soap nuts powder and ordered it. I noticed that it was fine but it didn't give me the results I had with the Hesh Aritha. It dried my hair more and it didn't give the glossy look like the first product. Also the smell is different, it smells like Aritha powder but it has some additional bad smell. So I'm wondering, could it be that this one is not specified for hair and is more like detergent? Because the box of "Hesh Aritha Powder" specifies that it's for hair, so could it be that there is some kind of difference between the two types of Aritha? So as a detergent, I give this product 5 stars because it's very strong in drying, but as a hair shampoo I give it less, that's why I picked 4 stars.In order to make sure, I will order "Hesh Aritha Powder" again and check if this difference is true.

I purchased the soap nut powder hoping that the powder was, well, powdery. It is not a super fine powder; it's a bit grainy. The soap nut powders I have purchased in the past (from another site) was a super fine powder, but quite a bit more expensive. I have to consider returning to my previous brand, as I would feel more comfortable about having smaller particles going through my HE washing machine.

I'm really surprised to say this stuff works. I was skeptical because of being raised with nothing but comet. Comet move aside, this natural soap powder is tough on mineral deposits and soap scum. I love that I'm not choking on the smell like I do with bleach products.

I don't know why anyone would buy high priced laundry detergent at the supermarket. Not only is it environmentally friendly, it cleans our clothes as well if not better than any other product I have tried. It is also much better for our septic tank than products high in phosphates.

I LOVE Soap Nuts, but this powder comes in a plastics bag. I'm not sure how it breaks, but twice I ordered this and twice the bag had holes, tears and leaked powder throughout the shipment box. :(

Must use a sieve to get out larger shell pieces before using in wash.

I love using this soapnuts powder to wash my hair! :) it makes it really soft :)
