I'm fairly handy in assembling things - quite a bit of experience over the decades. Though the screw holes on this shelf were perfectly centered, and none of the wood split when screwing in the screws, it was so hard to screw the screws in, that several of the screw heads stripped out of the hex-head wrench provided to drive them in. Eventually the allen wrench also stripped out. Those screws that did go in were very tight and helped the entire shelving unit to be sturdy. Unfortunately, the kit came with only exactly the 34 screws that were needed, so there was no chance to replace the ones that were stripped, so my shelf unit has several screws that won't go in further. An extra allen wrench would also have been helpful after the first one was getting stripped. It took a lot of effort to screw them in.

I am okay with the product despite the concern about its sturdiness. Sturdiness is 2/5. But for less heavy item it's 4/5. While installing be careful because redoing a step is not a good idea given the quality of the wood. Great design and would have been the best if alternate materials were used.

Poor quality, gets sluggish and looses shape within a day or 2, not worth buying, better to go for a cane or hard plastic type instead of the clothe type.Size and capacity is good,
