Privacy Nightmare! Please read.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Beware! I expect that your video feed and cell phone data will be collected and shared. Let me explain:First thing you notice is there is no brand on the box, on the camera, and everything is in Chinese. Before the camera will do anything, you must download an app from a Chinese website to your cell phone or tablet via QR code (a website link). This un-certified app could be riddled with any list of malicious functions. The suspicious app requires permission to the GPS location of your phone, your phone's microphone, your identity and your device's storage. This app is called Showmo requires you to create a login/password with their website on a Chinese domain. So this app will share your GPS location, your identity, your WIFI password, and the camera's video feed with a Chinese company before you can even use it. This should disturb you. If that is OK with you because you don't care about your privacy then it may fit your needs.I don't know if there is a perfect option, but my NEST camera has more features, the app doesn't require all those permissions and it uses encryption to secure the video feed. Using this UOKOO camera is like throwing security and privacy to the wind. I expect once the camera is connected, hundreds of people will be looking through your little lens and listening to your microphone.

Want to be a working customer? Buy this camera
No motion detection could be found, no email notification could be found, non-verifiable updates/downloads (which are a security concern), no support by Windows OS could be found, User Instructions are lacking in any detail which is one of the main problems with this unit along with the Showmo app for Andriods which also lacks any depth or guidance that addresses all features offered for this item and if it does then it is more difficult to find then it should be for the customer. Maybe iOS works great but the listing says Android & Windows OS as well.It also appears that you have to keep your phone on and stay logged in to Showmo to record which makes this camera a poor option for surveillance. My wife and I both spent more then 4 hours trying to find the motion detection and email notification/push notification application with no avail and we could not get the camera to record without being logged in to Showmo with our cell phone on. Camera also does not come with Micro-SD card that they speak of in the listing and they do not provide any recommendation on the proper card for you to buy so that you do have to spend more of your time figuring out how to use this product. This is a sloppy roll out of a new product from another country that has not acclimated to the U.S. market. The box does not show the name of the manufacture or the country of origin. There does not seem to be a website that provides any info on this model either. The folks that have given great reviews are puzzling to me, maybe they are from the country that it was made in and they have more access or maybe they do not know much about software and or security cameras and they are easily fooled. This is 7th security camera system that I have tested to guard my office and it has by far been the worst when it comes to being user friendly and actually doing what the listing says it will do.Summary: Not user friendly, poor instructions, weak app and not sure if it does all the things it says does. At least I could not get it to do what it says it will do and what it needs to do to be what I consider to be a true security camera. Yes it does record but any camera does that, yes you can get it to record quickly but after that it`s all down hill.

You get what you pay for.
Just bought this camera to monitor a tool cabinet in our shop. Those who posted 4 and 5 star reviews must have gotten a different camera than I did. I'm giving it 3 stars because it is average at best...probably should be a 2 star review.PROS:1. Cheap.2. Picture and video quality are pretty good.CONS:1. Setup is not simple PNP if you have more than one Wifi network available. Also, 5G networks are NOT compatible with this camera. We have four networks within range of this camera. The camera picks a network when you plug it in, then you have to figure out which one it is by switching networks on your phone/tablet to get it to connect. This is a major pain because you have to go through the setup process on the SHOWMO app each time you do this. When it fails to connect, you have to switch networks and start over on the setup.2. Weak speaker. Some people use this as a baby monitor which may be fine because a nursery is usually quiet, but don't think you'll be able to use this outside like a video doorbell unless you live in the country with no traffic noise. My boss has a Ring Wifi doorbell and the audio on that is much better than this one. Do NOT for one instant think that this $70 camera is equivalent to the Ring.3. Weak Wifi antenna. I was going to place this camera inside a cabinet so that it would snap a picture when the doors were opened, but the signal is so weak, the connection goes in and out every few seconds. Aside from the cabinet door, there is nothing in between the camera and the router.4. Software. The camera has a QR code to scan to download the software which is the SHOWMO app. It is clearly written by someone whose native language is NOT English. It has crashed several times in just the two days that I've used it. The in-app feedback doesn't work so it's pretty much useless. I deleted the original alerts that the camera sent when I first set it up so I could start fresh. Now the alert folder has an incorrect time/date stamp (which you can't change) and I can no longer view the actual alert snapshots even though the icon at the bottom says there are new ones. It also claims that the microSD card is filling up even though I've plugged it into my PC and formatted it. The snapshots are low resolution (no option to change) and you can't view them outside the app. There's no option to email, text, or print them. Your only recourse would be to take a screenshot to share. I've unbound the camera, reset the camera, uninstalled the app, and reinstalled three times and the alerts are still messed up. There is a button to disable or reset the alert. The reset does not work. I get a "Connect Timeout" every time I try to use it.FYI - I'm using an iPhone 6 Plus for my monitoring device. Maybe the Android version of the app is better, but I doubt it.In summary, don't buy this camera if you think it's going to be as good as more expensive models such as the Ring. I don't know if I'll be able to use it as I intended especially since the alerts are not working properly. I hope this helps anyone who is considering buying a wireless camera.
