Designed by renowned knife maker William W. Harsey Jr., the Difensa features a 6.25-inch spear-point blade crafted from premium CPM S35VN stainless steel. Vacuum heat treated, double-deep cryogenically treated, and hardened to 59–60 HRC, the blade offers an excellent combination of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance for extended service in challenging environments. The spear-point profile incorporates a flat-ground primary bevel with a tapered upper swedge, creating a versatile blade capable of controlled slicing, detailed cutting, and efficient piercing. A durable black SpartaCoat PVD finish helps protect the blade while producing a clean, low-reflection appearance. Full-tang construction extends through the entire handle, creating exceptional structural integrity. The 3D-contoured black canvas Micarta scales are ergonomically shaped to provide a secure, comfortable grip while reducing hand fatigue during prolonged use. The included custom-molded black Kydex sheath securely retains the knife while allowing smooth deployment. Its versatile mounting compatibility makes it suitable for belt, pack, or gear attachment based on individual carry preferences. Measuring 11.625 inches overall and weighing approximately 11.36 ounces, the Harsey Difensa delivers substantial cutting capability while maintaining excellent balance and control.
