But might be hard getting it from under the stone, get an ultra sonic cleaner for that. Turquoise is different, it could be porous and absorb the polish. **Q: How long does the polish stay? like how long once does this need to be applied to maintain the shine of the silver product? thank you** A: The length of time that your silver stays tarnish free depends on where you live. The gases in the air are what causes tarnish. I grew up in a small Texas town where there is a lot of oil activity, drilling for oil and many completed wells, so the finished wells had gas flares, where they burned off the gas that came out with the oil. I use my silver for Thanksgivimg and Christmas and had to polish it every year. I bought some black paper strips that go in with your silver when you store it and they did a fantastic job of preventing my silver from tarnishing. Any silver polish is good for removing the tarnish but to keep it tarnish free get some of the strips for silver that is stored. There are some here on Amazon made by 3M. I have not used this Weimans product but have used their other products and like them very much.
