Much better than tuner app
I have been using a tuner app to tune my bass. I am a beginner and getting it in tune was very difficult. I am sure that ambient noise played a big part but I often couldn't get the strings tuned correctly. I bought this and it works really well. You clip it on and pick a string. The face of the tuner moves forward, backward and swivels so when you get it on you can set it so it is very easy to see and read. It shuts off automatically after a few minutes so the battery doesn't drain. I read a review that didn't like that feature but I find it helpful. Once I am in tune for a practice session I don't have to worry about whether I left it on or not.

Sweet Little Fender Tuner Has A Very Cool Pivoting Head
I've been a working musician for about 30 years, and I have had many tuners, including strobe tuners, little pocket units, stomp pedals, rack mount units, and for a few years now, clip-ons. I think the Fender Flash Tuner Lite is fantastic. It has a big, easy-to-read, colorful screen which is easy to see on dark stages, and the way the display is set up, tuning is very obvious, and pretty much fool proof.. What really makes this tuner better all the other clip-ons I've tried is the really cool clip and pivoting head. They are pretty sturdy for this type of tuner, and you can position the tuner head almost anywhere you find comfortable. I have been tucking mine in behind the G-string tuner on the front side on my Jazz bass, which I have not been able to do with other tuners. It is right there, an inch from the G-string tuner, so it's super easy to tune up, and it's protected when it's on a stand during the breaks. Your money is well-spent on the Fender Flash Tuner Lite. I really like mine, and I'll probably get a few more for my other basses.

Turns off too soon.
The tuner seems to be accurate and easy to use with one shortcoming. It turns off after about 5 minutes, which is too soon for many tuning sessions. The only way to reset it is to remove it from the headstock and replace it. It is a good value though and made by Fender.

Great product
Bought this for my daughter to use on her guitar. It's easy for her to use and seems to work great and is accurate.

Best, most easy to use and accurate clip-on tuner I've used recently.
Get & use THIS tuner for the instrument you plan to take onstage w-you. It's accurate, easy to read, not prone to glitches or other interferences. Plus, it's a "Fender Endorsed" product. *I've used it for my Bass in Church &/or with the guys jammin' at the Campgrounds. Well worth the extra $. 'El

Fender tuner
Great product. Was what I was looking for. This is my second of this type. My first fell to the floor and the battery door got broken. I just had to have another like it and when I saw it on Amazon I ordered it immediately.

Fantastic tuner with a major flaw
It is a very good tuner. More accurate and faster reacting than any other tuners I have, including pedal tuners. The readout is instantaneous and precise. My other tuners ‘hesitate’ when low E string is struck. Not this one.I do not understand why Fender, having such a good product, ruined it with the on/off feature. It turns on only when you clip it on the guitar headstock (or your finger, useless). It stays on for 5 minutes. After that the only way to turn it on again is to quickly remove it and clip it back. What is the purpose of that? Fender calls it an ‘automatic’ powering. That is nice but why there is no button anywhere on it to turn it on to check the tuning after 5 minutes? Most tuners turn themselves off after a few minutes, usually 3 minutes, but you can turn them on with a button at front.Still, I am going to keep it. It is cute, precise and smaller than average. You can just fall in love with it despite that major flaw.

*week later update*Worked on my acoustic, woefully inaccurate on my strat and less paul.I now feel like this was a waste on money, the tuner app on my phone is 150% more useful.Wow this thing is small.Seems to work great though. As some had mentioned, there is no off button, but it turns off automatically after 5 mins regardless of what your doing.
