Great Bottles
This bottles gave my newborn a great latch as she sucks on it flawlessly. I used for her brother Avent and it was super so I bought Avent for her but it didn’t work out for her.I was hesitated to buy them as i read some negative reviews but i said let’s give it a try and i am glade i did.Not everyone can have the same evaluation for the same product

Made colic worse and not good for combi-feeding
After our baby having a bad experience with the 'Tommy Tippee Closer to Nature' bottles, we switched to this. With so many amazing reviews we were expecting it to solve all our problems with wind and colic. However the MAM bottles only made it worse and gave our newborn reflux. I admit she latched onto this teat the best and never dribbled. However she would not go back to breastfeeding (as we are combi-feeding) because the teat is so different to the breast. With the MAM bottles they are such a fiddle to clean with all the bit and bobs, which made it so time consuming. Also did not like the fact the anti colic holes are at the bottom of the bottle, which is a concern with cleanliness. That also restricts you from placing the bottle in a cup of cold water to cool the bottle as water may pass through the holes. Another annoying thing is the volume markers are hard to see and only start from 60ml!After using these bottles I can't understand how they are anti colic as all I saw were bubbles in the milk everytime our baby drank from them. After this we tried the NUK bottles which were much better as our baby couldn't tell the difference between the bottle and boob. However it also didn't solve the issues at hand. In the end we tried the Dr Brown's bottle and it solved all our issues with colic, wind, reflux, combi-feeding. I wish we tried them sooner, they just look the worst in design and we were put off by this. However who cares what they look like if they stop your baby getting colic.I hope our experience helps others. However remember every baby is different and what worked for us may not work for you.

These bottles have been one of my best baby purchases
These bottles have been one of my best baby purchases. My baby boy was breast and bottle fed for four months and with these bottles easily transitioned from one to the other and back again. We did try TT bottles but they used to make him gag, he took to these straight away. They are also much better quality and nicer to look at and handle.Whilst they are self sterilising which has been useful when on holiday we have mainly just used a counter top TT steriliser (so there is somewhere to leave the bottles) which this size of bottle fits into perfectly. They are easy to clean and come apart easily (the teat just pushes into the rim)I will definitely choose MAM bottles again when we have our next baby.EDIT - We had the next baby :) And used these bottles again, again he took to these bottles straight away when I needed a little break or an occassional night feed off! There was absolutely no issue or nipple confusion for him, he will still happily drink bottle or breast at 12 months (we still use the newborn teats).Congratulations on your babies!!

Used for expressed breastmilk, easy to sterilise
Great bottles and really quick and easy to sterilise! I have used them from 4 weeks to give the occasional bottle of expressed breast milk to my breastfed baby. Also use the matching dummies. The only negatives are that due to the bottom of the bottle you can’t see any measurement less than 60mls. This makes it hard to know exactly how much your baby has taken especially if feeding small volumes. Also due to the lip where the bottom attaches if you put the bottle in hot water to take the chill of milk some water sits in the lip and pours out once you tip the bottle up. So you need to be careful to try and shake off any excess hot water before feeding the baby.

The ONLY bottle our newborn would feed from well
These bottles saved my wife and I a lot of pain and misery trying to feed our newborn baby girl, I only wish we had tried them sooner! We spent our first week with our new baby girl going through every brand of bottle we could find, and even tried cheap £1 bottles from the pharmacy but our girl was struggling to feed from all of those with round teats where she had to put her lips over the neck part of it to get milk out. Surprising since she's been very strong since day 1 holding her head up and grasping at things. We were going crazy trying to feed her every hour and she was using up so much energy to get milk out she couldn't rest properly for longer periods.I then picked these up and WOW what a difference. From the very first suck she was getting enough milk out to swallow every time, the shape of the teat just seems to fit with her mouth much better so she's not open super wide like with all the others we tried.I highly recommend these for any newborn baby who is bottle fed from the start (with no breastfeeding) and we will DEFINITELY be using MAM brand bottles going forward. On top of that, the bottles are also designed super well, with the rubber bottom part allowing air to get sucked in as baby drinks, and they are really easy to clean and sterilise in the microwave too.

A hassle
Despite the high reviews, i personally found these to be too much hassle to use. When you have a hungry crying baby you want the bottle prep process to be easy. They need to be taken apart fully to go in my stetiliser and its near impossible to assemble after without touching the inner bottle parts with your hands. Impossible to assemble with tongs. I warm my bottles/cool down in a bowl of hot/cold water. However the instructions tell you not to do this. I assume as it will take in water and then leak. I ended up prepping my tomee tipee bottles, warming them, then pouring into these bottles. Never had peace of mind though as you always have to touch them to assemble after sterilising and you worry about contamination even with clean hands. I have a newborn so need to be especially careful. Im sure these are great in how they work but i gave up because of all the hassle.
