I recently took up doing dip powder manicures at home as a hobby and my job puts my nails up against all the elements: heat, cold, sharp objects, heavy lifting, lots of hand washing. All of the worst conditions for keeping a long lasting manicure.I bought this base/top coat set (based on their reputation for durability) along with a few other brands (including Modelones) trying to find my personal preference. Cons: The Venalisa set was on the higher end of the price point of all the brands I’ve tried (maybe twice as expensive as the Modelones set I purchased depending on the current deals available. Also the Venalisa brand goes on thickly unless you’re very mindful of your application. On the other hand… Pros: with the right prep and attention to application and curing, this brand goes on crystal clear with a high polish shine (think cut crystal sparkling compared to more basic glass like shine of some of the other brands I’ve tried). And it sets rock hard.This top coat stands up to 3-4 weeks of constant stress with no dulling of the shine, no chips or peeling.
