Q: Can dirty usd scum balls ruin the water chemistry. I think my water went musky cause I left them in to long. Changed them out all better now ?

I have not experienced any change in the pool chemistry regardless of the condition of the scum balls.

Q: I bought the scum bug/frog and it immediately got sucked into my skimmer and then the system started sucking air. How do u keep balls out of filter?

I had the same problem. I made ‘leashes’ for my turtles with extra-long shoelaces & a couple cord locks. One end went around the turtles body & the other went around a deck railing. I made them long enough so they could stay in front of the filter but not get sucked in.

Q: Can you use this along with chlorine tablets in a floater for a hot tub?

Yes you should be able to. These free float in the tub to absorb oils and such. We have a salt system that also uses chlorine and these work great.
