Perfect for smash burgers
I love a nice cheesy smash burger, and this dome is the ideal tool to get that perfect finish. I like to push the meat down into the pan to split the edges and give a lot of surface area to crisp up. Then when flipped add a generous amount of cheese and apply the dome. Optionally add a splash of water, it'll flash boil and the steam does wonders to the cheese when trapped under the dome. Its a great bit of kit, and looks as classy as can be. Really nice luxury feel to cook with.

Useful kitchen accessory
This is a dome made from stainless steel with a brushed finish, suited to covering items in a larger pan or on a grill to create an individual steaming environment around them. It just so happens to be the same width as a lot of saucepan lids, give or take a millimetre or two, so can actually double as a lid for smaller pans as well. Where it differs from regular pan lids (other than the shape of course) is the large easily-grasped handle, which can be useful in the middle of cooking when you're concentrating on other things and just need to cover a pan quickly, being easily grippable and precise to manoeuvre. One slight issue is that the handle is fastened by a screw on the inside, which is difficult to tighten effectively and also can work its way loose over the course of moving the dome around by the handle; also, the 'stainless' quality of the steel is slightly suspect as it seems to quickly develop small rust spots with even a few drops of water, which are easily scrubbed off for the most part but still a little disappointing. Overall then it's a good piece of kit for the kitchen/barbecue, but could do with being a bit better quality especially for the asking price.
