A Winner
I am picky about my coffee, but too busy in the morning for something like a hand press. So a drip electric coffeemaker it is. I have has the unit in action for several weeks now. it is a winner, and gets my recommendation, for several reasons: 1) the coffee is excellent (very hot with a smooth, deep taste; not bitter, burnt or weak); 2) it brews rapidly; 3) the carafe is outstanding (coffee stays hot for hours, and it has a wide mouth that I can easily insert my hand through to clean); 4) the display is crisp, easy to read, and easy to use; and 5) the tank is clear and removable, which makes reading waters levels, filling and cleaning very easy. I don't love how much space the unit takes up (because the tank is wide and squared), as I prefer a more compact design. But this is a minor quibble, especially given the overall excellence of the coffeemaker.

Had to get this coffee pot replaced. The one sent from vendor on Amazon was bad. It smelled like burnt plastic and never worked from the beginning. So I called Jura Inc customer service. and gave them my Amazon purchase number and they were fantastic. They sent me a brand new Capresso MT900 with no problems. I love it. Sent the bad one back to Jura. Their customer service was great. I have to say that Amazon's customer service is fantastic as well.

Feels VERY cheap and flimsy for the price, but does make good coffee
Updated 8-19-19The water reservoir cracked where the handled attaches on the side and the handle also broke at the attachment point, making the whole thing useless. Very cheaply made. Didn't last 2 years. Downgrading to 1 star. DO NOT BUY.This coffee maker replaced a 8+ year old, $60 Mr. Coffee that quit out of the blue one day. We loved it. Had no problems with it. It made great coffe and was easy to use. But we figured we might as well look at higher-end coffee makers. We also had a capresso burr grinder that we use daily that we love.I thoroughly read the reviews on this coffee maker before making a purchase ($150 seems like quite a bit for a coffee maker, and we are not coffee snobs, so we didn't need anything super fancy. I looked at the Technovorm, the OXO On 9, and the other one (can't remember the name) but felt like since we liked the Capresso brand and had good luck with our burr grinder we would choose their coffee maker as well. When the coffee maker arrived it was packaged nicely and we had no issues getting it up and running but i was immediately struck by how cheap and flimsy everything felt. Here i was coming from a 8 year old, $50 coffee maker to a supposed 'higher end' model that you can literally bend and torque with your hands without much effort. Don't let the looks fool you though, this definitely feels like it's made of cheap plastic and materials. Even the tolerances on some of the parts feels a little loose - specifically the filter holder. On the other hand it *does* make pretty good tasting coffee fairly quickly and is easy to use (just press a button and you're good to go), but i'm just not confident we'll get several years of daily use out of this coffee maker, though I suppose time shall tell. Honestly i'm debating sending this back because i'm really disappointed in how flimsy the unit really is.Pros-Makes good tasting coffee-Easy to fill water reservoir-Easy operationCons-Feels extremely cheap for a $150 coffee maker-Poor manufacturing tolerances make for a flimsy product-Carafe pushes the filter holder 'up', so you need to take care that it is seated and mated properly to the spring-Handle design on the water reservoir is useful, but not ergonomic. Also feels like it could break from applying only minor force.Overall had I known this product was going to look and feel so cheap I probably would have never ordered it. Still, I guess it does what it's supposed to... uhg...

Good daily coffee maker
Let me start this review by saying I’m not a coffee connoisseur. I needed a coffee maker to replace an existing one for my family’s morning coffee, and this one does the job.I specifically chose this machine because it had a completely transparent water reservoir. My previous machine (a Melitta) had an opaque tank, but even worse, the gauge which showed how much water was in the reservoir only went down to 5 or 6 cups. So if I wanted to make any fewer than that, the water level wasn’t visible so I had to fill the reservoir by pouring cups of water until I had the desired number of cups. Needless to say, this was inconvenient and frustrating. So the completely transparent reservoir on this machine is wonderful. Bonus, it’s completely removable, which is great if you accidentally over-fill it, as well as for cleaning. Functions on the machine are easy to use - timer is easy to set, there’s a filter light that lets you know when it’s time to replace it, water filter is super easy to replace, etc.The one complaint I do have, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the carafe. Although it’s nice - stainless, which keeps the coffee hot for a long time - opening the carafe for pouring is awkward. Most of the carafes I’ve had usually have a spot where you push down with your thumb, there’s a mechanism in the lid that opens allowing you to pour, and it closes when you let go. The carafe on this machine, however, has a screw-on lid, which was a bit disappointing. There’s a small indent on the lid that indicates whether the carafe is open or closed, but it’s so hard to see on the black plastic that I had to fill it in with some white nail polish to make it easier to see. I know it’s a bit of a nit picky point, but when I’m bleary-eyed first thing in the morning, the easier I can make it getting to my coffee, the better.Overall, it’s a good machine and I’m happy with it, but I do think the carafe could do with a better design.

Lasted 4 months - I do not recommend you buy this product
Bought this on Amazon.ca in Canada. After 4 months, the coffee maker starts dripping water and after three daysit lost almost all water overnight.I contacted customer service in the US and they asked me to ship to US which I ahd to pay for and then maybe if it is covered by warranty they would ship me a new one. I would have to pay the shipping, taxes and duty. Easier and cheaper to buy another oone different brand.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT !

The worlds worst coffee maker!
I spent the big bucks thinking that this machine would last for an amount of time that made the high expense make sense. A year and 2 months later it died, no more coffee. We called the manufacturer and they told us that the best they would do for us is sell us a new one at $99.00 USD. On top of that we would have to pay duty and shipping. By the time the machine would arrive we would be looking at over $200 CDN. What a rip off! I bough a Quisnart for less than half the money and it has a 3 year warranty.Do not buy this machine, you are buying junk and the company will leave you high and dry when something goes wrong! It makes me sick to think that we spent $249.95 and are treated this way!
