Review: NOT FOR INDIAN MARKETS - I bought this thinking that I would have a surge protector with 12 outlets, ideal for my PC set up that just seem to be adding peripherals, one after the other. On receiving this, the first thing I realised is that I need adapters. All the sockets are the US type and you need adapters to use with Indian plugs. These adapters are not easily available - You easily get adapters to convert US male plugs into Indian male plugs but adapters for converting US female sockets to Indian female sockets are rare and costly. Though, to be fair, Belkin or desertcart are not to be blamed for this as the images clearly portrayed US sockets. The larger problem however is that this won't work in India as it is designed for 120 V AC and not our 240 V AC. The first time I plugged it in and switched on, it blew the fuze and also got damaged inside. It is out for repair and I have yet to get it back. The repair shop says that he can only directly connect the sockets i.e. I will lose surge protection. So, avoid as it is not meant for Indian electric system

**Q: How does the $300,000 dollar warranty work?**
A: I love Dan Daniels answer. I'm still "cracking up". "How does the $300,000.00 warranty work". Hmmm..."IT DOESN'T". He's right. Yeah, good luck on trying to file a claim. It's just like these 3rd party car warranties, you pay premium after premium and when you try and file a claim... Good luck! And no I have never bought one of these scam car warranties. I must get at least 10 robo calls a week telling me that this is my LAST chance to buy their warranty. What a joke!

**Q: What is the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) rating of this product? Is it listed as a transient voltage surge suppressor?**
A: The Facts:

No matter what the ad says about UL ratings and conformity, if the UL logo is not attached to the device, itself, it is not UL approved.

Also, if they don't specify the clamping voltage or SVR, then they are probably not proud of it,  330-400 volts leg to leg is good, otherwise, I don't buy them.

**Q: Has anyone ever collected on the $300,000 Connected Equipment Warranty? I've read that they are almost never honored.**
A: Well if you read the fine print you actually have to send the equipment that was damaged to Belkin for them to look over.  Now in the case of a home theater system that would be insanely expensive.  I'm pretty sure Belkin doesn't pay for shipping.

**Q: Can the 8ft 12 outlet version be wall mounted?  Are there screwholes on the back of the unit?**
A: I don't have that specific one, I have the longer one with all the plugs in a row, but it has mounting holes.

I bought this thinking that I would have a surge protector with 12 outlets, ideal for my PC set up that just seem to be adding peripherals, one after the other. On receiving this, the first thing I realised is that I need adapters. All the sockets are the US type and you need adapters to use with Indian plugs. These adapters are not easily available - You easily get adapters to convert US male plugs into Indian male plugs but adapters for converting US female sockets to Indian female sockets are rare and costly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Savior of Electronics and Projects

This is 5 stars, it has protected my plugged in stuff already! Idk if its this, but when the power goes out, I still have some time to turn everything off, I don't have a separate power source yet my stuff still stays on even when there's rolling blackouts!! On top of that , it has the versatility of moving the connections however you want so everything can be plugged in. It's definitely good quality and well built and has a small profile. I feel like this review sounds like I'm boosting it a bit haha but I really am not, I was surprised by this. I'd recommend it !
