Sauder Carson Forge Dresser, Coffee Oak finish

I got this a couple of weeks ago, and I can officially say I really like this dresser. It came with a broken base board, and thank goodness I went with Sauder. I called and gave my product serial number and what piece was broken and the next day there was a new piece on the way. They always have top notch customer service. Once that came in, I was easily able to build the dresser. I've had some practice with furniture like this more often than I'd like to admit, and this was easier than most, to include other Sauder dressers. I did it by myself with no issue, and it's square and sturdy. A nice feature is that this one comes with a safety strap and drywall anchor if you want the extra peace-of-mind to secure it to wall.As far as looks, this looks much higher quality than its materials would normally lend to. I can't say enough about how nice it looks considering it's a very affordable option for a dresser. I got the matching night stand as well and my room is looking 100% better. If you need a lower-cost dresser that doesn't have the "IKEA" look, this is an excellent choice.

Extremely hard to put together and now the doors won’t shut and are not aligned.It was a gift for my daughter and I don’t know what to do to help them figure out how to fix it. They’re worried that if they take it all apart it will make the screw holes larger and it won’t be sturdy and secure.It really was a poor purchase but the look of the piece was exactly what they wanted.Sad

The dresser is really pretty, the size is pretty good (thought i would like if it was a little deeper, but that is personal), the color is beautiful and it looks great, looks really nice and expensive. Only problem is - and that's what i heard from my boyfriend, because he was the one who put it together - that the instructions are confusing and it's hard to put the drawers in the right position. It took him around 5 hours to finish it. And that is why this dresser didn't get 5 stars from me.

This is a great dresser; it looks great and it’s very sturdy. Assembly took me a while but I don’t think it’s overly complicated and the instructions are well written. My room is industrial chic and the iron hardware on this dresser tie in with that style nicely. The shape of the dresser is modern with clean minimal lines and it’s well proportioned. The materials are solid and have a rustic yet luxurious feel to them.One final note— the customer service was awesome! I broke one of the side panels, completely my fault, then broke another one trying force assembly with the broken panel. I contacted the seller and asked for replacement parts and offered to pay... they responded the next day and shipped the replacements free of charge. Everything arrived quickly and even though the boxes looked like Ace Ventura made the delivery the dresser was in perfect condition.

Great product. Very straight forward to put together and it seems very sturdy. It takes time to put together, but it's well constructed. The drawers are easy to align and look great as well.

This was simply to put together until I got to the drawers. There are pieces of particle board that sits on the bottom center of the drawer, and one was missing a pre-drilled hole. I used wood glue to attach it to the bottom of the drawer, otherwise I wouldn't be able to pull the drawer out once I pushed it in. Also, it was difficult to get the drawer fronts to fit flush, I had to use wood glue to keep them from detatching as I pulled out the drawers. Make sure you use a level when you hammer the nails in the back of the dresser or your drawers won't fit. I probably screwed up somewhere but I followed the direction and I'm patient. I would recommend assembling this all in one night rather than over a period of days. You probably want the following: a screw driver, hammer, wood glue, and a second person to help. The boxes are really heavy and it's NOT solid wood.

The back of the dresser is really a cardboard? The entire quality of this dresser for 400 bucks is so unfinished and poor quality

The dresser is sturdy and easy to assemble but they didn’t send us 3 drawers or the instructions (had to Google them). They were helpful and quick when I called to request the other 3 dressers but definitely would have preferred that they came with the rest of the product
