My collie dog has quite short hair but the winter coat can be a pain to brush out. I find that by using a combination of both sides of this brush it is quite simple to detangle and remove most of the unwanted fur. It is gentle if used carefully and very well made. Horrifying and satisfying in equal measure.The really good thing is that it doesn’t seem to cause her any discomfort. She isn’t a dog who would politely suffer in silence, so I’d know about it if she hated it. Used gently, it gets through the coat really well and seems to remove the loose undercoat without pulling at her.It’s especially useful if you have a long-haired or heavy-shedding dog and want something that actually makes a visible difference.
