It is lighter not too salty since it is mostly used for soup, and that is definitely the favorite part. I normally use it for soup. I am glad I found this soy sauce that my mother used to make @ home 50 plus years ago without junk. I add apple cider vinegar, cane sugar, or dark brown sugar, garlic powder, pepper depends what I cook. With this soy sauce I can make every different way not only for the soup. I chose this soy sauce because there is no junk like fructose,corn syrup ect, just simple ingredient that soy sauce suppose to be. Thank You for the good product!
