I am measuring the placement of text blocks on a printed page, and the 10ths and 100the marks are clear and easily readable. I can't speak to the 'accuracy' of the marks, but I'm not doing machining, so they are plenty accurate for my needs. If you are a machinist, you'll probably want to invest in a good micrometer or caliper (guess-o-meter), but if your accuracy needs don't rise to that level, these rulers are very nice. The 12 inch length of the ruler is perfect for my needs since I am measuring items on a 8.5x11" page. The metal thickness is acceptable, and the marks are engraved and colored black, so I don't think they'll wear off any time soon.
