I bought this light because I wanted a compact spotlight for navigating my boat on the river at night. Obviously, for marine use, it has to be waterproof. The cover that screws on the back to cover the charging ports has a rubber o-ring to seal it and several reviews showed it operating under water. This will (hopefully) never be submerged while I am using it, but it will be used in the rain and will be stored in a storage compartment in my boat, which can be damp. This light is advertised as being 10,000 Lumens. Not even close, but again, I read reviews and knew that. I think they typed an extra '0' because I would say the high setting is about 1000 Lumens and the low setting is about 600 Lumens. What I like about this light is the VERY focused, round beam it casts. The light goes where you point it, not in a huge 'halo' all around where you point it. The red lens may be useful if I decide to use the light for coyote hunting at night, but that was not the reason I bought the light. Most reviews say the light lasts 1.5 - 2 hours of continuous use on high, which will be fine since I will only need this for 20-30 minutes at a time to navigate at night in my boat. The light is very ergonomic and feels great in my hand, and I have large hands. The controls are easy to reach and use without repositioning your grip. The rubber housing around the light lens is also a nice touch that will allow the light to last much longer as most people will set this light down on its face/lens. Overall, this is a quality light for about $30. Just know and realize going in that it is NOT a 10,000 Lumen light, but will be plenty bright for most applications in darkness.
