That draws out the dirt from it. You then squeeze it in your hand to draw out the rest of the dirt. I soak mine in clean water after rinsing it a little under warm water and then I squeeze the water out and lay it on a paper towel to dry. Comes out looking new. **Q: Are these fake?** A: It's fake. **Q: Are these the real ones? (2021)** A: No! They are not real. They bleed orange color staining the sink and are very very soft not durable like the real ones. **Q: Are these Antibacterial/microbial? I swear I bought some that claimed so once?** A: I have never had problems with fungus or bacteria after washing them, although to tell the truth I use them for a while and throw them away, I have rarely washed them.
