Acrylics can be used on most surfaces. However, I'd advise priming the wood first, perhaps with gesso, to prevent the paint soaking straight into the wood. These paints are pretty thin without much pigment (they are pretty cheap and you get what you pay for!) so you'd need more than one coat. Also, most of them do not have colour-shifting properties. I was quite disappointed with them and would advise spending a bit more and getting better quality paints, but for me they are useful for creating glazes on the gel plate. **Q: Can they be used on plastic? Considering painting miniature figures with them** A: I would imagine so considering it is acrylic based, but I haven't tried on plastic only glass. **Q: Can this paint be used for magic marble effect? (I am planning to try and paint a guitar that way)** A: Not sure if that would work. Thinned mine down with water to paint a dollhouse.Brilliant result. **Q: I want to etch on glass can i use these to change the colour of the etch xx** A: I’ve bought these paints to use on glass also. It’s got a real softness to it?!)I feel the quality fits well within ‘cheap’ but ‘decent’. If you added even a drop of water you can feel the effect of it ‘not combining well?!’, you can also see the brush strokes, different thickness within the paint - as shown in the video - which always scream cheap - however for the price and the shimmer I’m happy!I’m looking forward to having more of a creative exploration with them, as I reckon with some trials and testing I will find a good way to use them, and they provide good versatility with various projects. You kind of have to wait for each colour to dry before using another.
