Any one have solar.. I Do
760 watts at 60 amp is what im seeing out of this and it sure beats the 55 amp battery charger i was using all to HILL. This thing took no time to charge to absorption mode from 853 amp/hr battery bank that was 80% and the 10-15 amps coming in from solar didnt hurt it one bit infact that made it use less electric. I was concerned that the solar charge would blow it but nope it helped it be more efficient instead by not having to carry all the load of charging the batteries.ordered it 7-20-14 got it at my door 7-23-14 NICE!About the fan its temp controled was not on at idle and did not turn on till like 5 minutes after i hooked it up. and the air was not super warm but was warm and LOUD.While this thing is on Idle not doing anything at all it uses a whole 15 watts of electric thats one super bright CFL light bulb at about 900 lumens rated.I realized this kind of power is acutally low for a solar system but for me topping off my battery bank and the use ill have for it its enough. My normal solar useage is at 15-20 amps drain on the batteries from inverter around 200 -250 watts with this charger/power supply ive still got enough left over to charge the batteries at a slower charge rate plus what ever im getting on cloudy days from solar.Final thought- as long as this thing holds out and last Ill be happy with it Ill know more later i just got it and hooked it up today. 7-23-147-25-14 left it plugged up with out the dc cables connected to the battery overnight and through the work day got home checked it out and discovered warm air floating out of the top hooked the dc cables up to the battery cables to boost the batteries a bit and it had hardly any output at all. Unplugged it and unhooked the DC cables for a couple of minutes connected the dc cables plugged it up and it started working. HMMMM suppose my suspicion was correct about the leaving it plugged in and not connected to anything. DONT DO THAT for charging mode8-24-15 Update: Still working great ive had to use it alot during "cloudy days" output is 53 DC amps useing 750 ac watts. About 2 months ago started hearing the fan after it gets turned on but it gets quite again after a few minutes. My guess its a cheap fan and ill have to replace it soon.2-15-16 Update ok replaced the fan with Artic F8 TC fan doing great but ive had one part not survive. Turns out (without the help of Power Max i got no return call back) that this part is a NTC thermistor ive changed the part 2 times already and havent had the rite value to keep it going this last time lasted a little over 2 months im thinking they over compensated on the cheap fan and high speed to make up for the 10 dollar part i have coming in now this part gets REALLY hot it provided a buffer level and dampens when the unit is first turned on so that the main component are NOT getting full power when the unit is turned on during the charge state. The last part i put in was rated at 15 amps this next one coming in is rated at 35mm disc 2 ohm resistance 35 amps and can handle 235 degrees before failing. I think this might do it the trick but then again the unit is rated at 55 amps Im an electronic tech so i know not to over due it to much heat and the board will burn and not enough rating it will blow again. I may be willing to give it one more go with a 50 amp rate NTC Thermister but that cost is gonna be about 20 bucks plus shipping. Hopefully this 35 amp rated one does the trick. Ide hate to have to go back to a high speed SUPER LOUD fan the Artic fan has really good air flow and quiet but the delay time for it to turn on from factory settings is just a bit long.update 6-16-16 unit fixed no more problems with it at all its held up just fine with the last part that i got. Shame on power max for putting a weak component in this unit but if they built them to last they would be out of business i suppose

Work’s perfectly
Since installing this unit, in my self built truck camper, it has worked perfectly. Whether connecting to shore power or to a generator, this unit has charge the four house batteries and all of the other appliances in the camper.
