## Description

The solid one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum alloy construction makes it virtually indestructible and highly resistant to magnum recoil. Add fully multi-coated lenses, a locking diopter ring, and Nitrogen purging and you have a quality scope with an extremely reasonable price tag.

Review: My first Vortex is rather disappointing***UPDATED*** - Weird eye relief. I have it all the way forward in the rings and it is very picky where you put your eye. You have to find the sweet spot but away from and to the center. My Nikon Rimfire ($125), Cabelas 30-30 ($99 on sale), and Simmon ProTarget Rimfire ($65) scopes are much better in this regard. The complaints about fuzziness past 9x and brightness are right on as well. It shoots well and lines up during sight in. Nothing broke. However, I ordered a Simmons ProTarget Rimfire 3-9x40 ($65) for my .22WMR. I notice desertcart doesn't sell the ProTarget scopes (They have replaceable top turrets for .22LR and .17WMR). I will probably Craigslist the Vortex. I have never had any issues with the scopes I bought until now. This Vortex scope is disappointing. ***Sent it back under warranty. It took less than a day to get there (UPS) from the Twin Cities. 4 days later I received a brand new scope and an invoice that said I overtighted the scope rings (I used a torque driver @ 15#). Out of the box the first one had the "fuzzy" or eye relief issues. This one is crystal clear out to 12x and the eye relief is fine. Kudos to Vortex. They stand behind their product.*** ***Update #2 Installed on Marlin XT17VR with Monstrum Precision Picatinny Scope Rings. Finally got to the range and sighted it in. Scope and rifle worked great. Scope works as it should. Sharp and bright out to 12x with good eye relief.***

**Q: Will this work on my Gamo swarm magnium?**
A: Sure after awhile regular scopes can and most will give way to the recoil if a spring piston air rifle, but Vortex scopes even the cheaper ones are pretty rugged. Even if it does break after 6 months, 6 years, or 60 years, that's the amazing (almost unheard of) warranty and customer service time to shine. Just call Vortex and send it back, they will ship you out a brand new. No questions asked! I sell firearms for a living, and it's incredible to deal with this company when you rarely have to.

**Q: What are the best rings to mount this scope on a remington 700 30-06. Something that wont break the bank?**
A: Look up Vortex Optics Hunter 1” scope rings!  They work great, I think $16 for two.  You will probably need the Medium height.

**Q: How would this work for 7.62.54r cartridge? Are there other Vortex optic that would be better?**
A: I think it would work fine. I use it for a 30-06 and the ballistics between 30-60, 7.62 NATO and 7.62x54r are not terribly different. I got sub moa at 100 yards.

**Q: 1" tube or 30mm?**
A: The Vortex Copperhead 4-12x44 scope has a 1" tube.

Weird eye relief. I have it all the way forward in the rings and it is very picky where you put your eye. You have to find the sweet spot but away from and to the center.
